Affinity #57 - Kids & Monkey (Renji, Jinta, & Ururu)

One Affinity that is overlooked is Renji, Jinta, & Ururu. During Renji's time in the human world, he was the b!tch for the Urahara shop. He was made fun of, but Jinta & Ururu especially had a lot of fun poking at him. Renji knew that Kisuke & his employees meant well and that if it meant being a body-bag for them, then so be it. Renji acted like a real sport and went along with their antics despite Renji having the appearance of busting a gut if he had the opportunity to do so. Renji & the kids also partook in the first skirmish in Karakura town between Hitsugaya's team & Grimmjow's henchmen. Though this isn't a major affinity, it still addresses Renji's relationships with various characters in the Bleach universe aside from the obvious (EX: Rukia, Ichigo, & Ikkaku). Jinta, in some way, acts much like Renji when he was a kid and Ururu kind of (but not really) reminds me of the gentle, yet prone to act in defense Rukia. Maybe Jinta & Ururu are splitting images of Renji & Rukia.....so does that mean that.......I'm thinking way too much into this.

I hope you enjoyed this brief Affinity. Look forward to Affinities on Tuesdays. Just wanted to let you know that Monday's Fight Night posts will resume in late November. Until then, here's the schedule for this week and you all stay classy now:

1) WBCR whenever chapter's available
2) Rhetorical(s)/Anime Impressions on Thursdays
3) Throwbacks on Fridays

BCC #16 (Finale) ~ Orihime Inoue vs. Hinata Hyuga (Big-BEEWBED Heroines)

VS.

This is it ladies and gentlemen. All things must come to an end, but like I said previously ~ BCC Will return in late November. It's been building up to this moment, but I think it was obvious who the two were at the end. The two heroines from two of the most popular Anime(s) around w/similar personalities, having an unrequited love for the protagonist, and, after the time-skip, have only gotten more beautiful. This Matchup was decided long ago when I made the BCC list so without further ado, let us introduce our lovely ladies. On the top with her cellphone looking worried is Bleach's damsel in distress ~ Orihime Inoue. On the bottom looking at you with a gentle smile is Naruto's Kunoichi ~ Hinata Hyuga. I'll say it before and I'll say it again ~ Personality, HCA Levels, & BEEWBZ will be contributing factors in the final decisions (will change rules in November). Let's jam on some BEEWBZ!

Personality (Orihime Inoue)
Orihime Inoue is a very unusual girl ~ likes weird kinds of food and overall displays a childish persona. However, she too has grown to mature from being a goofball in Ichigo's Class to being one of the most renowned members of Team Ichigo. She becomes dependent on Ichigo's help at first, but after unlocking her true potential ~ she soon develops the attributes of a strong-willed, confident, and determined woman willing to do whatever it takes to protect her friends just as they've done the same. Though not physically strong like Ichigo, Chad, & Uryu, Orihime is mentally strong as she grew from a timid girl to a strong woman.

Personality (Hinata Hyuga)
Hinata, at first, came off as a shy girl ~ embarrassed to even talk to the very person she came to admire, adore, and love: Naruto Uzamaki. However, as the series progressed, she matured and became more determined, strong-willed, and confident in herself to do more than just be a side character. She, alongside various supporting Naruto characters, partook during the War in which Hinata became a valuable asset in aiding Naruto against his strongest foe. With a new outlook and Naruto's charisma rubbing off on her, Hinata has grown from the shy girl in the beginning to a strong woman.

HCA Levels (Orihime Inoue)
What can be said about Orihime Inoue? Long orange hair, Big-@$$ T!t$, & a smile ~ thumbs up for me. Ichigo is lucky that a woman of Orihime's Caliber has love for him ~ it's literally the damsel in distress falling for the knight in the shining armor. Orihime became one of the reasons why I love Bleach and I wanted to especially see Ichihime (still waiting Tite Kubo....still waiting) because, as you all know, Ichihime is my favorite Bleach couple of all time. Orihime is sweet, lovable, weird (at times), and genuinely is good-spirited. What else can be said ~ Orihime is lovely girl.

HCA Levels (Hinata Hyuga)
Hinata Hyuga is by far the most beautiful girl in the Naruto franchise. Her transformation from timid girl to a strong-willed Kunoichi is just overall phenomenal. I do like the shy Hinata back in the day because I thought the way she acted was cute, but she only grew on me the more I saw her role become more relevant in the series. Her attachment to Naruto made her a better person and not only does this apply to Hinata, but to everyone influenced by Naruto. Hinata is a lovely girl much like Orihime ~ good-natured, sweet, lovable, and overall a eye-catcher for a Kunoichi.

BEEWBZ (Orihime Inoue)
DAYUM! Need I say more?

BEEWBZ (Hinata Hyuga)
She changed A LOT after Time-skip. DAYUM!

Final Decision
And the winner is...
Now I'm not playing favorite(s) here. I was pretty close to giving it to Hinata, but I had to reevaluate my stance on this Matchup since it's the finale. Both matured, are strong-willed women, became determined due to the protagonists, are sweet, lovable, and gentle, have HUGE BEEWBZ, and overall displayed a transformation from timid to confident. However, there was one flaw and it's unfortunate that it's a big one ~ Sakura & Rukia. These two women are considered the main heroines since they've had more of a profound influence on the main characters. Rukia is the reason why Bleach exists and Sakura is the drive behind Naruto's actions to bring back Team 7 (notably Sasuke). With Orihime, she became an ally and eventually started to develop these feelings for our main hero. With Hinata, she, like Orihime, became an ally and eventually started to develop these feelings for our main hero. So the question is ~ Whose the ideal girl here? Hinata certainly has had her fair share of screen-time, but I can't help but feel that Orihime's influence, despite having limited screen-time after Aizen's imprisonment, has more of a profound influence in Bleach than it does for Hinata in Naruto. She became more independent, versatile in her powers, adapted to the changes of peace to war, and, like I said, has gotten stronger to the point where she could also protect her friends. With Hinata, I kinda think its leaning more towards saving Naruto than saving her friends. So the argument came down to this:

1) Orihime's desire to protect her friends became a symbol of strength and empowerment
2) Hinata's desire to protect Naruto became a symbol of strength and empowerment

The needs of the many out way the needs of the few is a common saying in the Star Trek Universe and I'm going to apply it here. Orihime's desire to protect both friends & enemies is her initial drive as she sees the good in what can be done to accomplish peace in a time of war and conflict. With Hinata and pretty much everyone in Naruto, Naruto is treated like he's Neo ~ The one. Since he's the title character of course the cliche will be stuck with Naruto being the Hero to save the day, but I believe he isn't the only one there. Everyone's time and effort in the war in Naruto is just as important as Naruto's profound role on influencing the characters. However it was Orihime's desire thanks to Ichigo to protect her friends and forge the world of peace whereas Hinata's desire is thanks to Naruto, BUT it's still (to me) leaning towards protecting Naruto since he (with the cliche) is the only one capable of such feats. To me, Bleach gave more of an elaborate approach on screen-time whereas with Naruto, it boiled down to 2 characters. Despite me being a huge Hinata fan, glorifying Naruto too much has less of any impact than glorifying the needs of the many just as Orihime has. I know Hinata loves Naruto and all, but no approach or answer was given. With Orihime, the confession (though Ichigo was asleep), became a reminder that Ichihime is more likely to happen than NaruHina since Naruto may/may not have a thing for Sakura still. Tough call and I love both chicks, but in terms of personality, HCA Levels, BEEWBZ, and relevance/influence ~ I will have to give it to Orihime Inoue.

So who do you think won the final BCC Round? Orihime Inoue from Bleach or Hinata Hyuga from Naruto? Does my verdict conflict with the standards of BCC? Not all since it was, like I said in the beginning of BCC Month, a trial (test). In the end, very few Bleach girls actually won. BCC will continue in late November alongside frequent collaborator: MechG. Until then, there'll be no Monday posts. You all stay classy now.

BCC #15 - Bambietta Basterbine vs. Ryoko Hakubi (Temper Chicks)

VS.

These chicks got temper, you don't want to mess with them. Piss them off, you'll get the wrath of Leviathan. You may want to step back if you get in their way because they'll say "Get lost b*tch, you're no use in a fray." They may have the BEEWBZ to satisfy my needs, but I wonder if they'll ever foster my seeds? Are they ideal mothers or just temporary lovers? Are they mean in bed or get hurt from the things that I've said? They come off as temper-losing b*tches, but say that to them and you're just a witness to getting horrible itches from an ass-beating that'll leave you in stitches. Today's Round is what I'd like to call the temper chicks ~ not nice, not clean, but they certainly got nice tits. I may sound corny by rhyming like this, but it's either a hit and miss and I'd personally give these two women a kiss. One is a protagonist (Ryoko ~ Tenchi Muyo) and the other an antagonist (Bambietta ~ Bleach), but I didn't choose this battle on accident ~ I just wanted to give you, the Bleach audience, a reason to say that these girls aren't a contaminant. Without further ado, let's start the 15th Round, pound for pound, they're barking like hounds because I just started making multiple sounds.

Personality (Bambietta)
Bambietta's personality technically, theoretically, and truthfully is quite honestly considered a brutality & a criminality. She's one of the those characters that I'd wish have more screen-time, but is it a crime to think that she's so damn fine? She's the type of chick to slice men in two if she's pissed about a situation that all Sternritters couldn't miss. She ain't that miss to give you the lover's wish, she's the kind of woman to kill you to death...wish a kiss. She comes off as mean, arrogant, and all-around sadistic, now Imma say that's some f*cked up sh*t. It isn't realistic to call Bambietta the ideal chick, but I wonder if she could even handle my d*ck. Does it sound weird that she's already a zombie? Like forreal why did she gave to go die so early? She had potential to be a high caliber villain because she's the type of girl that won't give her friends or enemies any penicillin. Now she's just Giselle's little b*tch, getting her arm cut off and body parts flung around is just an itch.

Personality (Ryoko)
Ryoko is a space pirate living in this hot and cold climate who is all around a good spirit. She lives with Tenchi and a bunch of other chicks, wonder if Tenchi ever took a peek and shat bricks. Ryoko is the main chick to make an appearance and gets worried over Tenchi's disappearance, but in battle she's always showing perseverance because she's a badass in her own right who wants to keep the coherence. Ryoko has multiple personalities ~ sweet one day, lazy the other, but she has quite the wild mentality. She's the chick who'll give her opponent fatalities and show no sort of sentimentality when her opponents beg her to stop her brutality, but there's no stopping Ryoko's streak of wanting to live in the life of immorality. Ryoko is battling with Ayeka, Sasami, & Mihoshi for Tenchi's love despite Tenchi picking the obvious choice of all the above.

HCA Levels (Bambietta)
I gotta say, Bambi is one fine ass chick, she can dropkick real quick a bunch of stupid-@$$ hicks. Though her role in the story isn't all that great, I'm still disappointed about Giselle's take on her fate. Turning into a Zombie, why end her arc so early...she had potential despite not being all around girlie. When she killed a man in boredom, you see she's taking pleasure in it, I can't tell if that's her way of seducing men or just being a huge-@$$ prick. Bambi is quite the looker I'll admit, but the problem is her character needs more wit. I'd say she's hot & cute material now excuse me while I go eat my cereal.

HCA Levels (Ryoko)
Ryoko is the main chick from Tenchi Muyo, but that's only as far as we know. There's Ayeka, Mihoshi, & Sasami.....feels like Ryoko is being sandwiched by salami. Two meaty ass chicks who are always by Tenchi's side ~ one sweet and adorable and the other a pain in the behind. And then there's Sasami who isn't all baloney because she's Santa's little helper trying to make some macaroni. Ryoko will always be the very first woman to ever meet the main guy, thinking Tenchi was going to die because he was introduced as a small-fry. Ryoko is the first to open up, always saying sup, and being the sugar in Tenchi's coffee cup. I'd say she's hot & cute material now excuse me while I go eat my cereal.

BEEWBZ (Bambietta)
Not too bad, but they could be bigger.

BEEWBZ (Ryoko)
They're probably just as big as Mihoshi's....damn.

Final Decision
And the winner is....
This'll be the only part where I don't rhyme. At the end of the day, I think Ryoko's relevance in Tenchi Muyo offered more than Bambietta's small role in Bleach. I think Bambietta had the potential to be an important supporting character, but instead she was killed off easily just so she could be Giselle's little b*tch. With Ryoko, I think that her personality being unpredictable contributes to her hot and cuteness factor because she could be elegant and plite, but deep down could just as well cause trouble for anyone if she wanted to. Ryoko went from being a troublemaker to a an ally (whose still a troublemaker) and that transformation alone has more of an impact than a villain who didn't offer much in terms of story & abilities. In this man's opinion, if Bambietta had more of an impact, then I'd give the argument that she may have stolen the spotlight, but since Ryoko is one of Tenchi's main squeezes, we can't argue that her relevance to the story is canon in every single way. In terms of Idealism, I'd say Ryoko takes the cake on this one since Bambietta will literally blow you away.

I hope you enjoyed this week's BCC Round. The final BCC Round will be up this Monday. Until then, you all stay classy now. Throwback & WBCR are posted below.

WBCR - Mother Nature got nothing on fabrics (Grade: B)

This chapter was relatively short since it can be summed up like this: Ichigo's gonna bring back Uryu & Sternritter "W," Nianzol Weizol may/may not be dead. At the beginning of the chapter, Team Ichigo w/the newly designed Ganju reminiscence about Uryu and how the last time they were all together as one was when they were rescuing Rukia. Ichigo's resolve to beat his friend senseless and bring him back is what drives him to not give up and to ultimately do away with the Wandenreich. Next, the chapter cuts to the Nianzol Weizol vs. Senjumaru Shutara fight where it almost seems as if Nianzol Weizol can deflect any attack from around his parameter, but when Senjumaru explains that she swiftly retailored Nianzol's clothes while he was killing off Senjumaru's henchmen. Nianzol is batsh*t scared at this moment, but as soon as he struggles to take it off, spikes began to pierce his entire body from within the retailored robes. Aaaaaaand.....that concludes the chapter. Honestly, this was such a short read and the only reasons why I gave this week's chapter a B is because I found Senjumaru's technique to be pretty creative since it goes against Nianzol's abilities to deflect attacks AROUND him rather than ON him, but the skeptical part of me says Nianzol may still be alive. He was just introduced a chapter ago and if the author is intentionally killing him off easily so that Senjumaru can fight Yhwach, then what a waste of the character. However, Nianzol's abilities are far from original so if it were true that he's indeed gone, then that might as well be the shortest fight next to Kenpachi vs. Giriko in the Fullbringer arc. Nianzol's characters is by all means....odd. He got two tongues and has the tendency to boast about his abilities + not finish his sentences properly. On the other hand, a part of me is curious to as to how Senjumaru and Yhwach know of one another. What's their history like? Was Senjumaru already part of Royal Guard when she first met Yhwach? This begs for an explanation (hopefully). Also, seeing Team Ichigo blasting off in the cannon is reminiscent of their first time together as a whole....it felt very refreshing and a symbol that through good & bad times, they all got each other's backs. I still stand by my decision ~ Chapter's a B.

I hope you enjoyed this week's WBCR. Look forward to WBCRs whenever chapter is available. Until then, you all stay classy now. The BCC Round will be posted later (latest by midnight) because of work. Throwback is posted below.

Throwback #58 - End of the Old Flame (SPOILERS!)

One of the most shocking deaths in Bleach was the fall of the old flame himself ~ Captain Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. Falling to the hands of his own nemesis, Yhwach, Yamamoto was cut in half & burned alive nothing remained of him except ash. It was during this time and struggle that one by one the Shinigami were falling to the Quincy; any morsel of hope they had began to disappear the moment their leader got axed. With the death of Captain Yamamoto, the 8th division Captain & Lieutenant, Shunsui Kyoraku & Nanao Ise, were promoted to 1st Division. Vengeance stirs in the hearts of everyone, but Captain Yamamoto's death wasn't in vain as the Gotei 13 must now relentlessly polish their skills & talents to overcome an adversary that is even stronger than the Espada. Coping with his Death became a signal that the Quincy need to pay with their lives in order to fill in the void that Captain Yamamoto left behind. Their hearts may be shaken, but their resolve is untouched. This moment came as a shock to me since Captain Yamamoto is one badass old man, but he'll always be remembered in the hearts of the Soul Society and as one of my favorite Bleach characters (I'll make a top 10 favorite Bleach characters eventually).

I hope you enjoyed this week's Throwback. Look forward to Throwbacks every Friday. Until then, you all stay classy now. WBCR will be up momentarily and BCC #15 will be posted later since I have work til nighttime (latest is midnight).

1st Rhetorical (Anime Impressions) Post - Tenchi Muyo

Welcome to the 1st Rhetorical(s) post or Anime Impressions. As I said before on September 10th, RBTs will be replaced w/this new segment in order to give room to the world of entertainment and it's profound influence on the its fan and the culture as a whole. Reiterating once again, Rhetorical(s) or Anime Impressions (AIs) are: a segment that will properly introduce my take on various Anime(s) that I've come to know and love. I will give in-depth analysis on why you, the audience, should look into these series because they truly are groundbreaking marvels. Though many of the titles are popular, I still wanted to formally address it's relevance to the Anime community & it's overall genuine impression in the World of Entertainment. The 1st Rhetorical post will be up in a couple of weeks NOTE: The word Rhetorical also means expressing in terms of impressing/persuading. Without further ado, let's start off with one of my all-time favorite Anime(s) of all time: Tenchi Muyo.

The world of Tenchi Muyo was introduced to me when I was a kid. Stumbling upon Toonami was a show titled Tenchi Muyo where I summed it up like this: Multiple Girls fall for Shy Guy. Not only was I invested in the characters, but the comedy, atmosphere, music, and overall world was just beautiful to look at. I haven't seen anything like it and because of it's popularity as a show & hit manga, Tenchi Muyo spawned various spin-offs/retellings, OVAs, & 3 movies. Tenchi is what I wanted to aspire to become when I was a kid ~ a peaceful man who fights off alien freaks while alien chicks fall for you, who wouldn't want that? It was like a show/manga made for me; from its comedy to its characters, this show never failed to make me laugh or smile. I have watched almost all of Tenchi Muyo from its original roots to its spin-offs/retellings (In Tokyo, GXP, & Universe). I have yet to watch the newest Tenchi spin-offs and hopefully I'll find the time (eventually) to watch them since Tenchi is one of the reasons why I got into Anime. In my opinion, I have no problems with the original Anime (the spin-offs are a different story) ~ the harem fit perfectly because it ended the way I wanted it too ~ Tenchi being satisfied with living with all the alien chicks rather than chose one and let it end. He'd rather live as a family than to let it fall apart just because of everyone's petty jealousy over him. Though the girls all love him, they respect Tenchi's decision as they live together under one roof w/nonstop shenanigans. Tenchi has a lot of responsibility, but as long as Ryoko, Ayeka, Sasaki, Washu, & Mihoshi are by his side ~ Tenchi's world will never fail to bore me or its audience. The only gripe I had with the series was In Tokyo where it went against everything I liked about the original ~ Tenchi choosing a strange girl. GXP was my favorite Spin-off because it ended the way the original Tenchi did + the characters were very similar to Tenchi & his chicks. Sure there are a lot of shows that have copied Tenchi Muyo, but we all know the original is what influenced many series to follow in Tenchi's footsteps because of its profound influence on the Anime World as a harem, comedy, space-action Anime/Manga. It is also one of the first Anime(s) I've watched that had fan-service. Though fan-service isn't the basis of the show, I suggest you check it out since it is one of the original Anime(s) that premiered on North America renowned Toonami (Cartoon Network at night) Network. I personally hope that you, the Bleach audience, will come to admire a show/manga like this ~ a peaceful show/manga where it combines elements of harem, space action, & comedy to make what I'd call a legacy in its own right.

I hope you enjoyed this week's first Rhetorical(s)/Anime Impressions' post. Look forward to them every Thursday. Until then, you all stay classy now. Next week's Anime Impressions' post will be part of the TCTD Quad (1st being Tenchi Muyo).

BCC #14 - Yoruichi Shihoin vs. Mana Tatsumiya (Agile Cats)

VS.

See these two cats? They're feisty felines who mean business when out in the battlefield. Agile, quick-thinking, & beautiful, these two are quite the killer lookers. One is a hand-to-hand expert whereas the other is versatile in guns/projectiles. Both are older than their series protagonists and are considered teachers in their own right. Piss them off and you'll get the pummeling of a life-time. Today's matchup is Bleach's Yoruichi Shihoin & Mahou Sensei Negima's Mana Tatsumiya. Take into account that Personality, HCA Levels, & BEEWBZ play a pivotal role in the final decision making. Without further ado, let's jam on some BEEWBZ!

Personality (Yoruichi)
Yoruichi descends from royalty, displaying a witty and intelligent persona. She, being one of the oldest characters, knows the ins and outs of the Soul Society. Aside from her impressive stature as Princess of the Shihoin Clan & 2nd Division Captain, Yoruichi can act immature at times as seen when picking on a young Byakuya & teasing Ichigo in the hotsprings. When she needs to be serious, she means business, but their's a playful side to her as well.

Personality (Mana)
Mana is a witty and intelligent individual and is one of Negi's students. She has known of the existence of magic prior to Negi's knowledge of it. Cool & laidback, Mana is a valuable asset in Mahou Sensei Negima ~ displaying her versatile usage of guns & projectiles. However, Mana is also mysterious as not much is revealed about her.

HCA Levels (Yoruichi)
Yoruichi is the 3rd person in Bleach w/the largest BEEWBS (The 1st being Rangiku & the other Orihime). Yoruichi caught my eye immediately as she exposed her true self to Ichigo going from cat to human form. Yoruichi is one of the hottest Bleach chicks and to top it all off ~ she's a badass princess. Her outfit when fighting Aizen was just pure awesomeness and I'm always psyched whenever I see her. For being a Princess, Yoruichi is quite the little rebel....I like that.

HCA Levels (Mana)
There are a lot of girls in Mahou Sensei Negima and we can spend all day on why each of them is cute in their own right, but Mana is one of the most mysterious chicks out there since not much was exposed about her. I will say that the pictures I've seen of her are pretty sexy and, like Yoruichi, Mana is quite the rebel when duel-wielding her guns. Mana may have be one of the students that have big knockers and you know what....badass chicks need bigass tits.

BEEWBZ (Yoruichi)
In comparison to Sui-feng, Yoruichi has enormous BEEWBZ!

BEEWBZ (Mana)
Even with a loaded rifle, Mana gots the MANAS!

Final Decision
And the winner is...
The mystery factor surrounding Mana should have given her the upper hand, but alas the series has come to an end with many unanswered questions and, for me, an unsatisfying ending to what I'd formerly call a "awesome comic." I wanted to know more about the characters, but when you have that many in a series ~ sometimes it becomes difficult to balance out each of their roles & giving them relevance to the story. During the tournament, she played a role, but after that ~ we don't see her till way later in the series and then.....it ends. With Bleach, Yoruichi was given more development and exposure since she's one of Ichigo's trainers. If it weren't for her, Ichigo would have no Bankai nor have the strength and tenacity to save Rukia from her untimely demise. Yoruichi, alongside Kisuke Urahara, buffed up Ichigo so as teach him the value of protecting others. Yoruichi's transformation from Princess to Rebel is much like the Disney princesses you see, going against the norm of their desires and unveiling something new. However, unlike Disney princesses, Yoruichi is skilled in hand-to-hand combat & Kido. Yoruichi is so agile and durable that she make that pose in the victory picture of her crawling towards the screen. Not only does she have the @$$ & Tits go show for it, but she's one of the reasons why I still read Bleach. There's a lot of Bleach characters, but there's only so few you can say I like or I dislike. For Mana, she needed more development and ending her character arc on a cliff-note is not good....it leaves me anticipating that there'll be more, but there's not. Maybe the more mysterious the character is, the more engaging they are, but since the series is done ~ the anticipation has disappeared. This victory goes to Yoruichi...the true agile cat.

So who do you think won? Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach or Mana Tatsumiya from Mahou Sensei Negima? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to the last 2 BCC Rounds on Friday & Monday. Until then, you all stay classy now. The 1st Rhetorical(s) post will be up tomorrow early.

Affinity #56 - Old Pals (Kisuke & Isshin)

Did you know that Kisuke Urahara & Isshin Kurosaki knew of one another before Ichigo was born? You could also say that due to Kisuke helping out Isshin who was helping out Masaki, Isshin & Masaki fell for one another ~ the first time a Shinigami & a Quincy wedded and gave birth to a hybrid child named Ichigo Kurosaki. It was introduced that they knew of one another when Isshin challenged Grand Fisher to combat and easily won; Kisuke appeared from the shadows afterwards and the two chatted that this was this was all Aizen's ploy. Isshin Kurosaki was the former 10th Division Captain and his surname at the time was Shiba, meaning that he may have a connection with Kaien, Kukaku, & Ganju. By the time the two met, Kisuke was already hiding out in the Human World. I wonder if Ichigo knows of his father's surname prior to his marriage to Masaki. Other than that, Kisuke & Isshin are what you'd call old pals ~ having both a funny and serious side to them. Kisuke even joked that Isshin is very much like his son despite Isshin denying it. Both aided in training Ichigo as he truly is the one that can save the day from evil.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Affinity. Look forward to Affinities on Tuesdays. Until then, you all stay classy. WBCR will be up when chapter is available, BCC Round #14 will be up this Wednesday, 1st Rhetorical(s) post on Thursday, and Throwback/BCC Round #15 on Friday.

BCC #13 - Sui-Feng vs. Satsuki Kiryuin (Strong, Agile, & Robust)

VS.

This is quite an interesting Matchup, don't you think? The leader of Honnoji Academy vs. the Captain of the 2nd Division/Stealth Force. One is primarily the antagonist for the first half of Kill La Kill & the other is a supporting protagonist. In both their own rights, they're both authoritative, intimidating, and fearless women. Diving into the heat of battle, both Sui-Feng & Satsuki know no bounds as they look down upon weaklings, do what is necessary to display justice, and over the course of their series ~ have displayed change in their character. Let's dive right into it, today's 13th BCC Round is Bleach's Sui-Feng & Kill La Kill's Satsuki Kiryuin. Take into account that Personality, HCA levels, & BEEWBZ play a pivotal role in the final decision. Without further do, let's jam on some BEEWBZ!

Personality (Sui-Feng)
Strong-willed, determined, intimidating, fast, agile, & robust ~ these are the words that best describe Sui-Feng. Since Yoruichi, her former Captain, abandoned her long ago, Sui-Feng has developed an ego against her former Captain; insisting that she's surpassed her mentor in terms of strength & leadership. However, at the end of the day Sui-feng genuinely was hurt when Yoruichi left without saying a word and, like a little girl, cried over her return. Sui-Feng makes up for it by obliging to the duties as the 2nd Division Captain ~ acting swiftly, without hesitation, & mercilessly.

Personality (Satsuki Kiryuin)
Strong-willed, determined, intimidating, fast, agile, & robust ~ these are the words that best describe Satsuki Kiryuin. As supreme ruler of Honnoji Academy, she ruled w/an iron fist and looked down on weaklings. However, everything changed upon meeting her rival/sister ~ Ryuko Matoi & the one person she despises most in the world ~ Ragyo Kiryuin. Satsuki & Ryuko were at each other's throats, but as soon as Ragyo entered the fray ~ Satsuki had a change of heart on Ryuko since finding out that she's in fact her sister. Satsuki mercilessly strikes down anyone she opposes is a threat and upholds the peace & stability of Honnoji Academy.

HCA Levels (Sui-Feng)
When I first saw Sui-feng, I didn't think much of her. I thought she was just an ok character & nothing less. However, over time she did grow on me surprisingly because despite her tough exterior, she was just as normal as everyone else. Sui-Feng loves and admires her former Captain and that's what stun me about her ~ a Captain eliciting emotions other than ego & arrogance. To me, Sui-Feng got cuter after the Time-skip and, like most Bleach women, are well-drawn.

HCA Levels (Satsuki Kiryuin)
Satsuki, much like Sui-feng, went through change the moment Ryuko & Ragyo came into her life. Aside from her tough exterior, she was a little child that bears a grudge against Mommy because she was evil. Satsuki, like Ryuko, has enormous knockers and, to be honest, Ryuko caught my eye before Satsuki did. Satsuki became more appealing and cute the moment she stopped being the antagonist and that's what I loved seeing ~ sisters fighting side by side against an even greater evil.

BEEWBZ (Sui-Feng)
She just doesn't have the assets.

BEEWBZ (Satsuki Kiryuin)
Now Satsuki.....DAYUM! (over 9000!)

Final Decision
And the winner is...
Now from the get-go, I knew Satsuki was going to win for one reason ~ role. Sui-feng may be a supporting character, but rarely does she steal the spotlight. To me, Satsuki is just an important as Ryuko in Kill La Kill and both equally share the position as protagonists. Satsuki's change overall also went through a lot considering she went from ruling w/an iron fist & oppressing the weak to accepting that acknowledging others is what makes a leader a leader. Satsuki's character from episode 1 to end went through substantial change and she became my 2nd favorite character next to Ryuko. To me, Satsuki had more to offer since she was antagonist turned protagonist and her gradual change also help masked the fact that he had an even greater threat to deal with ~ her own mother. With Sui-feng, the change happened in a snap and from the on, she now became an ally under Team Ichigo. Satsuki became a reason why I began watching Kil La Kill whereas Sui-feng alone was just a supporting character that needs more screen-time. Though Sui-feng is leader of the stealth force and is agile as a result, her change was just abrupt. With Satsuki, it was built up and, like any storytelling, showcases the struggle of the character as well as the dilemma they have the fact. In this guy's opinion, Satsuki was bound to win.

So who do you think won? Sui-feng from Bleach or Satsuki Kiryuin from Kill La Kill? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to the last BCC Rounds this Wednesday, Friday, & next Monday. The first Rhetorical(s) post will be up this Thursday and WBCR will be up when chapter is available. Until then, you all stay classy now. WBCR - The Wind (Grade: B)

So this week's chapter didn't appear on MS at first, but rather on MP (MangaPanda). What are my thoughts on this week's chapter? Well, it gets a huge thumbs up for killing off Pepe because man, Pepe was weird as f*ck and nobody liked him. His abilities and demeanor came off more as creepy than creative and I'd gladly punch a wall in happiness over his defeat than to watch Pepe alive again proclaiming his twisted version of Love. So this week's chapter is relatively straight-forward: Pepe dies, Yhwach is frightening, & Ichigo goes to Royal Palace. Simple, right? Well yeah ~ that pretty much sums up the chapter and so begs the question - Why a Grade: B? Well, B isn't bad at all, but it certainly isn't Grade: A material. Nothing stood out and we all know the Anime cliche of villains ~ overpowering as F*ck even to the most powerful of men & women. Only the youthful champion wielding his duel-wielding kitchen knives can help save the day from evil's reign. While this cliche does annoy me, the concept itself can't simply be forgotten since we, the audience, like to see the odds of good vs. evil. The odds of Yhwach overcoming adversity is extremely high since he fathers the Quincy and is ultimately a God-like being. With good, it's a test to see if they can overcome this adversity or rely on our main hero. That's why I gave it a B because it could've added more, but instead we are at the point where it's building & building inch by inch until the ultimate match between good vs. evil will decide the fate of the Human & Shinigami Worlds. Yhwach's new Sternritter, Nianzol Weizol, can pretty much change the direction of attacks ~ making it difficult to attack an opponent let alone touch them, but the ability itself isn't original by any means. Other than that, Pepe getting devoured by Liltotto was just pure awesome and I can't wait to see what Liltotto will do next. I stand by my verdict ~ Grade: B.

So what did you think of this week's chapter? Comment below and let me know. As always, look forward to WBCRs whenever the chapter becomes available. Until then, you all stay classy + BCC post is posted below.

BCC #12 - Rukia Kuchiki vs. Yozora Mikazuki (Short-haired Cuties)

VS.

Good Night everyone and welcome back to the 12th BCC Round. As you are well aware, BCC Month is from August 25th-September 29. So far, Bleach has won a few times whereas the Anime chicks from multiple series have had their day in the spotlight much longer. Will today's Matchup be in Bleach's favor or perhaps the spotlight will be stolen once again from them? Who knows, only I know since I call the shots here. We have 4 more BCC Rounds left to go so I'd like to finish on a strong note. Today's BCC Round are the short-haired beauties who've undergone a makeover and surprisingly got cuter because of it. Our competitors today are Bleach's very own Rukia Kuchiki & Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai's Yozora Mikazuki. Take into account that Personality, HCA Levels, & BEEWBZ will be deciding factors on who'll win in the final decision made by yours truly. Let's jam on some BEEWBZ!

Personality (Rukia)
Rukia is a determined Shinigami who upholds her duties without fail and was adopted into the Kuchiki clan, adopting a modest & graceful persona. Rukia is one of those people who cares for others and bottles up everything inside so as to avoid the suspicion that something may/may not be wrong with her. Rukia, since teaming up with Team Ichigo, has become a helpful aid in Bleach's many antagonists. Lastly, Rukia is obsessed with cute things as she won't do harm to cuteness.

Personality (Yozora)
Behind Yozora's smile lies a troller ~ poking fun of her many friends in the Neightobrs club. She harbors feelings for the main character, but either dismisses it or bottles up her emotions as to avoid the suspicion that others may know of her liking of him. She is determined to keep the Neighbors Club Alive and tries many schemes in order to pull others, but often does her selfishness get the better of her since she's not what'd you call the patient type. Like Rukia, Yozora likes cute things and in this case, it's cats.

HCA Levels (Rukia)
Seeing Rukia for the first time, I thought she was cute. I'm a sucker for girls w/short-hair and Rukia is no exception. When she got her hair even shorter, I was in love. Something about that hairstyle of her + her personality & demeanor = ideal girl. To me, Rukia is one of the cutest girls in all of Bleach despite not possessing much package in other parts. She makes up for it by being a relevant figure in Ichigo's world as well as being responsible for the events transpiring Bleach's conception.

HCA Levels (Yozora)
When Yozora had long hair, I thought she was cute, but again with Rukia ~ short hair = love at first sight. She got more innocent right after the makeover and it's no coincidence that she did this in order for the main character to recognize who she is to him since the two are childhood friends. Yozora, like Rukia, possesses no package, but makes up for it just from the having her haircut, playing more innocent to her crush, and still trolling her friends.

BEEWBZ (Rukia)
Unlike most of the Bleach girls, Rukia doesn't have the assets.

BEEWBZ (Yozora)
Unlike the other Haganai chick, Yozora doesn't have the assets.

Final Decision
And the winner is...
Bleach & Haganai are two completely different series w/one centering around action & the other on comedy. The two may be the main females in their respective series, but take into account their genres ~ action vs. comedy. While Bleach has it's comedic moments, it's mainly an action/fantasy series whereas with Haganai, it's heavily leaning towards comedy, but also incorporates drama. Although I love both girls in their own right & for different reasons, I had to give it to Rukia since her relevance in the story (Bleach) has more of an impact than Yozora in Haganai. Yozora is the main character's childhood friend, but I haven't seen much progression w/their chemistry in comparison to Rukia & Ichigo ~ a powerhouse duo who might as well be Captain & Liutenant. Without Rukia, there's no Bleach and without Yozora, there's no Haganai, but Haganai lacks the depth of developing it's main focus ~ appealing to the fans on which lucky girl will be with the main guy. It's a harem so it can go either way, but with Rukia in Bleach ~ her focus is developing & progressing the story arc as well as to introduce her abilities apart from others. Bleach bridges upon many characters whereas Haganai works with a few, but Bleach's progression goes without saying. With Haganai, it ended on a cliff note and I wished to see Yozora express herself more instead of bottling up and letting her rival swoop in for the kill. To me, Rukia's the more developed character and her meeting with Ichigo only attributes to her importance in the story. I love Haganai's comedy & characters, but when you're comparing its main female lead to Bleach's ~ it's a win for Bleach all day.

So who do you think won? Rukia from Bleach or Yozora from Haganai? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to the final 4 BCC Rounds on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & the following Monday. The first Rhetorical(s) post will be up this Thursday. Until then, you all stay classy now.
