WBCR - Because I'm a Quincy? (Grade: D)

Man, these chapters are dragging on. Much like DBZ, it's going to take awhile before we see any more excitement. This chapter can be broken down in two components: Uryu is attacking Team Ichigo because he's a Quincy and Yhwach will take the place as the Soul King. First off, Uryu's explanation is unacceptable to me ~ there has to be an ulterior motive behind his defection. I'm curious to know what it is, but so far we're only working with "I'm a Quincy." To me, that's BS because there have been times where Uryu has put friendship over his own species. Uryu isn't the time of person to be swayed so easily and yet we are to believe that because he is a Quincy, that it's OKAY to attack his friends how? Uryu, you have to be smarter than that. As for Yhwach taking the place as the Soul King, that follows the cliche "I'll become the ultimate power." Yhwach is overwhelming and stupidly strong, but taking the place as the Soul King ~ Yhwach's very power alone is bound to get the better of him someway somehow. It was cool to see the return of some of the Wandenreich (The Thor looking guy and the sniper), but they were sidelined just so Uryu can piss us off. It seems as if the momentum of good will be delayed whereas evil will continue to rise so long as Yhwach finds loopholes in the story to justify that he is beyond compare. I wasn't a fan of this short chapter because of Uryu's answer. There must be a reason behind it, I just know. I'm going to give this week's chapter a D.

So what did you think of this week's chapter? Good? Bad? Somewhere in the middle? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to WBCRs whenever chapter's available. Let's hope the chapters get more exciting, right? Stay classy ladies & gentlemen. SGABR #3 will be up later.

Throwback #80 - Badass Artists (Attack of the Cover Part 5)

On the cover page of Chapter 170 titled "End of Hypnosis 2: The Galvanizer," we see Ichigo, Orihime, Uryu, & Rukia wearing martial artists attire and striking poses. I thought it was pretty cool to see Rukia wielding what looks like a Kamehameha in her hands. Ichigo's kicking forward while wielding what appears to be a sword, Orihime striking a fighting pose, Uryu wielding a Sai (Raphael from TMNT much), and that sums up the cover page. Personally it's these cover pages that somewhat get me interested if it has any sort of relevance to the story? Unfortunately, they do not and are there to showcase the author's artistic abilities. Seeing our characters outside of the story and just striking poses ~ it's a work of art. Cover Pages are artwork to me and it's refreshing to see Tite Kubo & many artists take this approach. It mixes things up a bit, ya know what I'm saying? There's a couple of Bleach Art books out there and I guarantee you this is one of those covers you'll definitely see. I personally like this cover and, like I said above, it's cool to see Rukia looking so badass. Well, there all badass artists in their own right.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Throwback. Look forward to Throwback posts on Fridays. Until then, stay tuned for next week's installment of the Attack of Covers (Throwbacks #76-86). WBCR & SGABR #3 will be up soon.

*There was a slight error indicating that it was Affinities #76-86 when in actuality, it's Throwbacks #76-86. Sorry for the confusions ladies & gentlemen.

Legacy #26 - Digimon

I do apologize that I was unable to post yesterday. Like I previously said, if the post is late, it'll be uploaded the next day. Without further ado, let's dive into the 26th Legacy post. In the previous 2 Legacy posts, I discussed Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh, 2 respected and nostalgic Anime(s) based off fighting monsters, duels, and kids. Today, we talk about Digimon (or Digital Monsters). What's this Anime about? Well, it's quite self-explanatory. A bunch of kids are in charge of these beast-like creatures that fight other beast-like creatures to protect the world from evil. Easy, am I right? Spawning 54 episodes from 1999-2000, Digimon was a pretty entertaining Anime. You couldn't help but want to follow these kids on their adventures and see just how strong their Digimon will get. They combat evil and, with most Anime, delve into the cliche of "protecting the worlds from facing extermination." When I was a kid, I enjoyed this Anime and watching it now, I gotta say ~ it still holds up despite its cheesiness. Yes, if you grew up watching Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, or Digimon, the dialogue and scenarios in it are beyond cheesy. The thought of it makes me want to face palm because by saying that, many of us who grew up with this Anime can relate that nowadays, it's mildly entertaining, but it isn't without it's fair share of cheesy over-the-top moments. Digimon, much like Pokemon, spawned into a franchise with a new set of kids, new Digimon, and new threats. What didn't change? The dialogue of course. Overall, it's a nostalgic Anime that us 90s kids will always remember and who wouldn't want a little beast-like creatures firing fire or breathing ice? Well, as long as they don't turn evil, then I'm sure things will be fine…I hope (LOL).

I hope you enjoyed this week's Legacy post. I do apologize again that it was posted on Friday (12:30pm here in CA) rather than yesterday (Thursday). WBCR, Throwback, & SGABR #3 will be up later. Legacy posts will normally be posted on Thursday(s). Until then, you all stay classy now.

Affinity #81 - An Old Man's Wisdom (Part 2)

Captain Yamamoto's profound influence in the series is reflected truly upon his murder at the hands of the villainous foe, Yhwach. Tears were shed, the protection of the Seiretei was at risk, and the great fire that once burned brightly now is but a distant memory. However, sulking over this loss wouldn't do any good as the enemy was still out there ~ hungry to bring more disaster to the Soul Society. In times of desperation, a new leader must take up that mantle of responsibility in order for the sanctity and responsibility of the World to be in order. That man is Shunsui Kyoraku ~ one of Captain Yamamoto's first students to become a Captain and truly is reflected in his strength, laid-back demeanor, and overwhelming spiritual pressure. Upon his Death, Kyoraku did everything in his power to control the state of the Gotei 13. With lives lost and the war ongoing, the last thing that Kyoraku wants is the Gotei finding blindly from this incredible lost. In preparation for what's to come, they have to become strong in times of darkness and destruction (cliche I know). However, he will never be forgotten because he truly was the eternal flame that was both the heart of the Soul Society as well as its downfall ~ a man of such strength and tenacity that he can bridge the gap between power. His very existence alone can destroy the Seireitei ~ that's how gravitas he holds within the Gotei. With his death, it became a stepping stone for Yhwach & his Wandenreich, but it isn't enough to completely topple the Gotei 13 completely. So for Affinities #80-83, I'll be discussing Captain Yamamoto's legacy within the following people:

1) Chojiro Sasakibe (Lieutenant)
2) Aizen Sousuke (Antagonist)
3) Yhwach (Rival)
4) Ichigo Kurosaki (Old vs. New Powers)

Aizen Sousuke, at first glance, was a generally respected Captain of his peers. Kind, gentle, and caring ~ no one ever EVER suspected Aizen of being that one guy who'd turn everything upside down and inside out. However, we were proven quite wrong as Aizen has been hatching plans for 1000+ years. We first saw this when Aizen was pulling the strings behind the Hollowification experiments during the time of Visored's reign as Shinigami Captains/Lieutenants. His ploy was enough to grab the attention of Kisuke Urahara, but for many years afterwards ~ what did become of Aizen? Lurking behind the scenes and yet trying to put on a facade so not to make it obvious of the "bad guy" cliche. Well, it turns out that all we needed to see was a orange-haired teen make a scene and BOOM ~ Aizen had to cast aside his facade and unveil who he truly was from the get-go. Even as a Lieutenant under Shinji and as a Captain, his unforgettable smile was but a reminder of how dangerous he'll become.

His interaction with Captain Yamamoto was brief as he wasn't aware of Aizen's ploy to join the Arrancar(s), build an army, and have them duke it out against the Soul Society. When they fought, of course Captain Yamamoto was enraged. Being outsmarted and overpowered isn't enough ~ claiming their "God" like status with a superiority/inferiority complex ~ that's a step too far. Captain Yamamoto is often quick to notice that he can just as easily overwhelm Aizen, but in this case, all Aizen had to do was wait for the right time ~ strike when least expected. As the two duked it out, it seemed as if Aizen had a plan all along, but he never would've foreseen Captain Yamamoto's other abilities besides his Shikai. Hand-to-hand combatant and Kido master, Captain Yamamoto is more than meets the eye. In a nutshell, these two powerful figures duked it out, but when it came to intelligence ~ Aizen had it all. Yamamoto had the browns whereas Aizen had the brains; however things can happen once you begin underestimating your former superior. Aizen learned that the hard way which eventually lead to his inevitable face-off against the one and only, Ichigo Kurosaki. Captain Yamamoto isn't pleased with Aizen, but his defeat alone was enough to culminate in the rebuilding/restructure of the Gotei 13.

I hope you enjoyed this fairly long Affinity post. Look forward to Affinity posts on Tuesdays. Until then, you all stay classy and I'll see you all next week for the continuation of the An Old Man's Wisdom Affinities (#80-83).

SGABR #2 (Bleach vs. Fairy Tail) - Evergreen vs. Nanao Ise

VS.

Welcome back to another installment of MIKandIK3 and I's SGABR (Sexy Girls of Anime Battle Royale) ~ Bleach vs. Fairy Tail Edition. For 11 matches (11 weeks), MIKandIK3 pit the woman of Bleach & Fairy Tail together and see who'd win in terms of storyline, personality, and overall appeal as a character. In last week's first SGABR post, Mirajane took the lead against Bleach's Yoruichi Shihoin (Fairy Tail leads 1-0 against Bleach). However, Bleach woman aren't to be underestimated either. For today's post, we pit Fairy Tail's Evergreen and Bleach's Nanao Ise. Who said women with glasses can't be sexy? The verdict will be decided by yours truly. And now a few words from MIKandIK3

Hello again everyone! I hope you enjoyed last week’s SGABR, I know StillMattic and I did. With Fairy Tail ahead in the standings (1-0) it’s still anyone’s game. This next match up we’re featuring the glasses girls Nanao Ise of Bleach and Evergreen of Fairy Tail, carful now don’t get trapped buy those pretty gazes now. XD Alright! On to round two!

Storyline (Evergreen)
There isn’t much back story on Ever here, all that’s known is that since she was little she wanted to be a fairy and joined Fairy Tail really only for the name its self. Due to her superiority complex she decided to follow Laxus who had always disliked the way that the guild was being run. Thou after the battle of Fairy Tail and Laxus is banished from Fairy Tail, Evergreen and the rest of the Thunder god Tribe are allowed to stay. The next we see of Evergreen is during the Tenrou Island arc and the S-class trials. Ever feels a bit betrayed when her teammates Bickslow and Freed pair up to do the trial together. She forces Elfman, who is also a candidate for the trial, to choose her as his partner. Later during the trial Elfman and Ever are up against none other than Mirajane. In order to continue Evergreen plays a ruse making Mirajane that she and Elfman are going out and getting married soon. Its works and thou this was merely a ploy to get Mira to drop her guard, the irony is that that is the first step towards Elfman and Ever’s relationship that it is now.

Storyline (Nanao)
Unlike most of the Bleach Characters, Nanao is a side character and her relevance in the story is minimal. She was the former 8th division Lieutenant underneath Captain Kyoraku Shunsui up until Head Captain Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto was murdered by Yhwach ~ the 8th division now became the new 1st division. With this mantle of responsibility, Nanao is more alert than ever in hopes to find a way to save the Seireitei and to defeat Yhwach & his Wandenreich. Nanao was first introduced when Team Ichigo (Ichigo, Orihime, Uryu, Chad, Ganju, & Yorichi) were on their journey to save Rukia from execution. Nanao and her Captain met Chad of Team Ichigo and Nanao's Captain easily mopped the floor with him. Nanao was about to deliver the final blow, but Kyoraku spared Chad and instead locked him up. The next we see Nanao is her aiding Kyoraku & the 13th division in saving Rukia from execution. This creates a rift in the Gotei 13, but nonetheless, Nanao is faithful to her Captain and his wishes. She's the responsible one of the two, but rarely does she display her strength or intelligence. Nanao has in fact been a member of the 8th division ever since Lisa, Shinigami turned Visored, was Kyoraku's lieutenant. Lisa was a sister-like figure to Nanao as she always read her stories. Currently, Nanao has shown she is proficient in Kido, more responsible in aiding Kyoraku, and is pulling her own weight as the 1st division Lieutenant.

Personality (Evergreen)
Evergreen is a woman who loves fairies, and her childhood dream was to become one. She greatly admires beauty and elegance. When first introduced, she came off as a vain and arrogant woman who had no problem with turning the people that were supposed to be her guild mates into statues, all for the sake of Laxus. She battled and revealed her longtime resentment of Erza Scarlet, all for harboring the name Titania and not even particularly caring for the title. Evergreen is shown to care very, very deeply for Laxus and her teammates, and she appears quite fond of them, and they of her. She said once that they'd been together for "a long time." As such, they were initially the only people with whom she interacted. After Laxus' exile, she and her teammates began to open up to the guild more and more. While quite vain and prideful, she is not without regret, as seen when she and Elfman were defeated, and she tearfully apologized to him, blaming the entire ordeal on herself.

Personality (Nanao)
Nanao is described as "serious" to her peers. She's responsible and always is seen carrying a book whenever she's around. Unlike Captain Kyoraku's alcoholic and womanizing tendencies, Nanao is the complete opposite. She usually picks up the slack after her Captain and is often seen scolding Kyoraku for his misbehavior and recklessness. In her leisure, Nanao likes shopping and reading books in the library. Stoic, serious, and attentive ~ Nanao is most likely the most responsible Lieutenants of the entire Gotei 13.

Attraction/Appeal (Evergreen)
The beauty known as Evergreen has light brown hair, dark brown eyes and visible pink lips. She wears oval glasses and has a very voluptuous figure paired with very large breasts and curvy hips. She is defiantly a very attractive woman and takes pride in her looks. And thou she may not be all that sweet hearted on the inside, she doesn’t mind flaunting her appearance towards noticing eyes.

Attraction/Appeal (Nanao)
I didn't much of Nanao at first, but during the Fanservice episode, it appears that Nanao has a moderate set of knockers. She tries to WOW Rangiku & Orihime with her big BEEWBZ, but it turned out that they were fakes and it was all for attention. Nanao after the timeskip caught my attention ~ something about her appearance just got to me. The only thing she did was tuck her bangs underneath her ear and, to be honest, that's a turn on for me. Smart & Sexy ~ I like that.

Verdict (By Stillmattic)
And the winner is…
Comparing those two fine woman was no easy task. In evaluating their story lines, personalities, and attraction/appeal ~ it boiled down to Evergreen for me. Why? For starters, as much as I think Nanao got cuter, it doesn't change the fact that Evergreen is beautiful from the moment we laid our eyes on her. Relevance aside, it's true that neither of these characters truly carry the gravitas of the series. However, if I were to choose which of these women has more significance in the story, it'd be Evergreen. She's had a far more appearances than Nanao and her character's transformation from antagonist to ally took up a good arc (or season). For Nanao, very little we know about her and very little do we see her in action. Yes we see her be more aggressive in the current arc, but again she is sidelined so that all the other characters can increase the moment of the battle. Evergreen, though her backstory isn't explicated, has had her fair share of aiding Fairy Tail MORE than Nanao in Bleach. Nanao and Evergreen may be different, but when it comes to beauty ~ Evergreen takes the cake on that one. I also admire that she's starting to grow some feelings towards Elfman, another fellow wizard from Fairy Tail that was once her enemy. With Nanao, as I said above, she's cute, but not beautiful from the moment we saw her. Evergreen was just stunning to look at from the start and Nanao, it took some time. Evergreen becoming more open plays into another factor of why I gave her the victor ~ very little do we see Nanao open up and if she does, it's only for the convince that sh!t's going down in the Seireitei. Evergreen is more of a team player whereas Nanao is only playing sidekick to Kyoraku Shunsui. With other Lieutenants in Bleach, they don't play fiddle ~ they try and make a difference alongside their Captains and are open in exploring their powers, acknowledging their strengths/weaknesses, and trying to overcome the odds. I didn't see Nanao do that as much as I saw Evergreen did in Fairy Tail. In this honest man's opinion, Evergreen definitely is the winner.

So who did you think won this battle ~ Evergreen from Fairy Tail or Nanao Ise from Bleach. Comment below and let us know. Look forward to SGABR posts on Fridays (11 weeks). Until then, you all stay classy now. Fairy Tail leads 2-0 against Bleach. Throwback is posted below.

Throwback #79 - Before (Attack of the Covers Part 4)

In the Turn Back the Pendulum arc, we see the Visored before their inevitable banishment from the Soul Society. With experiments running amok and the Visored greatly being the #1 guinea pigs, it didn't take long before Central 46, the Government of the Soul Society, deemed that the Visored were to die in order to prevent any more bloodshed from happening. However, doing this meant killing their own and the last thing that's on their mind is taking a life. The Visored were transported into the Human World thanks to Kisuke & Yoruichi ~ escaping persecution, but weary of their lives now that Aizen has plundered it all to the ground. I like the cover page for chapter 103 ~ we see a young Hisagi, Byakuya, Gin, Sui-Feng, & Mayuri. In this time-frame, Hisagi looked up the Kensei as an inspiration (also why Hisagi has the same tattoo as Kensei). Byakuya is still young and immature and is inept in learning how to become the next noblemen of the Kuchiki Clan. Gin, from the get-go, has had a twisted mindset, but of course there's to him that meets the eye (not going to spoil anything). Sui-Feng was under direct orders from then-Captain Yoruichi Shihoin ~ pledging to guard her as both a bodyguard and friend. Mayuri took up the mantle as Kisuke's assistant ~ pursuing science in a very different way than Kisuke. Later on the series, these 5 characters surely change in every way. Hisagi Shuhei becomes 9th division Lieutenant, Sui-Feng, Byakuya, & Mayuri become the 2nd, 5th, and 12th division Captains, and Gin becomes the 3rd Division Captain turned when siding with Aizen & Tosen alongside the the Arrancar. Truly, their history is what'll define them and though different, their paths will one day cross.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Throwback. Look forward to Throwbacks on Fridays. Until then, stay tuned for next week's installment of the Attack of Covers (Affinities #76-86). Stay Classy as always ladies & gentlemen. SGABR #2 is posted above.

WBCR - The Battle between Rivals begins (Grade: B)

This was a relatively short chapter, but it's a great setup for what's about to boil down to probably the next biggest fight to happen in Bleach: Ichigo vs Uryu. These two frenemies now are at an impasse ~ Why did Uryu side with Yhwach? Will Ichigo forgive Uryu? Is this all a plot for Yhwach? Who knows, but at the end of the chapter ~ we see a very flustered Ichigo pretty much saying to Uryu, "WTF Dude." The chapter starts out pretty much the whole "It was inevitable" cliche where the main antagonist knew all alone of Ichigo's destiny (much like how Aizen did it), but Ichigo refuses to believe it. Yhwach is responsible for Masaki's Death, which then propels Ichigo to get even angrier with Yhwach. Just as Team Ichigo (Yoruichi, Orihime, Chad, & Ganju) were about to help, Wandenreich member Parnkjas shows up behind Yoruicbi and does a number on her arm ~ twisting it so much that blood is creeping out. And that sums up the chapter. Yhwach provokes Ichigo, Parnkjas tries to stop Team Ichigo, and Ichigo's pissed at Uryu's betrayal. This fight is very reminiscent of Naruto vs. Sasuke, we all know what's going to happen. The two are probably going to rekindle their friendship and let bygones be bygones. However, we have yet to discover why Uryu joined Yhwach in the first place. Will we ever see everyone else aid in the War? Will Tier Harribel reappear? Will the remaining Xcution members be relevant? What of Grimmjow's condition ~ surely he must be recovered from Nnoitra's fatal blow. This demands an answer. So far, it's more set-up for the upcoming fight between friends turned enemy. I'll give this week's chapter a solid: B.

So what did you think of this week's chapter? Good? Bad? Somewhere in between? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to WBCRs whenever chapter's available. Until then, you all stay classy now. SGABR #2 + Throwback will be up tomorrow. Legacy post posted below.

Legacy #25 - Pokemon

Have you ever heard of the slogan "Gotta catch em All?" If you have, then you're like me and grew up watching Pokemon ~ a phenomenon that still continues to this day and thrives pretty much everywhere. Video games, TV, Card Games, Toys, Electronics, Home/Decorations, etc ~ Pokemon has been a hit since it's release. Growing up, there was only 150 Pokemon, but now ~ that # has doubled. This Franchise has found its way into the Anime world and still awes audiences with its Pokemon. The original Anime series is still ongoing, ranging to 850+ episodes from 1997-present. Their have also been 17 movies and way too many games to name. So then, what's the story? Well, from what I can garner, Pokemon starts off with a young boy named Ash and his quest to capture, you guessed it, Pokemon. Pokemon are pretty much Pocket Monsters that are used in battle to duke it out until one's defeated. Pokemon original character lineup is: Ash, Misty, Brock, and Ash's lovable electrifying companion, Pikachu. Now, with so many variations of Pokemon and the character lineups changing, I lost count. The whole point is to explicate that Pokemon has become a franchise and is beloved by just about everyone. The Video Games are sensational whereas the Anime continues to thrive on new material based on the Video Games. How many Pokemon are there in total? To be honest, I lost count after 150, but for the new generation ~ Pokemon will continue to thrive. To me personally, I stopped watching Pokemon after the Johto League. Pokemon, you gotta catch em all and you gotta love em all.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Legacy post. Look forward to Legacy posts on Thursdays. Until then, you all stay classy now. WBCR will be up soon.

Affinity #80 - An Old Man's Wisdom (Part 1)

One of the wisest and oldest Captains of the Gotei 13 was none other than the man who started the Gotei himself ~ Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. His Zanpaktou's power alone can distort the very atmosphere of Seireitei and just as easily turn everything into ash. Despite his looks, Yamamoto wasn't to be underestimated. Taking in Kyoraku & Ukitake as his first students and eventually becoming the first Captains in the Gotei 13, Captain Yamamoto had a very profound influence on everyone in the Soul Society. Such notable feats was training Zaraki Kenpachi Kendo, fighting one-on-one against Wonderweiss, and releasing his Bankai against Yhwach (who was actually a doppelgänger). His very influence has left an imprint on the Gotei 13, but unfortunately ~ he fell at the hands of Yhwach. Cut in Half and his body burn to ash, Captain Kyoraku Shunsui took up the mantle as the new Head Commander and, with every Captain on his side, will do everything in takes to take down the very enemy to murdered Yamamoto. So for Affinities #80-83, I will be discussing the interactions that Yamamoto has had with specific characters in the following order:

1) Chojiro Sasakibe (Lieutenant)
2) Aizen Sousuke (Antagonist)
3) Yhwach (Rival)
4) Ichigo Kurosaki (Old vs. New Powers)

Chojiro was Yamamoto's Vice-Captain and the man who was responsible for leaving a scar across Yamamoto's face. This was Chojiro's attempt at trying to outdo his Captain as well keeping it a well-guarded secret that he possessed the power of Bankai. At a young age and when Yamamoto wasn't bald, Yamamoto took a likeness towards Chojiro for his loyalty, responsibility, and his unquestionable admiration towards Captain Yamamoto. Unfortunately, Chojiro's death stirred up Captain Yamamoto as it became the first major death to have left an imprint on Yamamoto. He was enraged, wanting to kill every single last member of the Wandenreich. He thought highly of Chojiro and his long-running service to him only shows the bond a Captain & Lieutenant have when working together. Chojiro swore to follow Yamamoto to the ends of the Earth, but who knew the 1st division would fall ~ thus leaving the Gotei 13 the motive to become stronger through any means necessary. In this scenario, their deaths served as a pathway towards what will become the Ultimate War. They will be missed, but in memory ~ they'll continue to live on as Head Captain Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto & Vice-Captain Chojiro Sasakibe.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Affinity. Look forward to Affinity posts on Fridays. An Old Man's Wisdom (#80-83) will be going on for the next 3-4 weeks. Stay tune in. Until then, you all stay classy now.

Throwback #78 - The New Gotei 13 (Attack of the Covers Part 3)

I do apologize in advance for not having posted the Throwback post yesterday. I had a small window of time available and was only able to post the SGABR Collaboration (Bleach vs. Fairy Tail Edition). However, if I am late in posting ~ it'll be posted the next day. So here war are here with another addition of the Attack of the Covers (Affinities #76-86). Today, we discuss the cover page of chapter 424 where we see the Gotei 13
(at the time of the Yhwach's ascension into power) featuring: Captain Yamamoto (deceased), Rose (deceased?), Shinji, Unohana (deceased), Sui-Feng, Kenpachi, Byakuya (incapacitated), Hitsugaya (incapacitated), Kensei (deceased?), Kyoraku (now 1st division Captain), Komamura (incapacitated), & Mayuri. This is a pretty sick @SS group shot, but it's unfortunate that 4/13 are deceased/possibly deceased. I was a huge fan of Captain Yamamoto and his demise at the hands of Yhwach only came to show how powerful, terrifying, and merciless the Quincy are towards the Shinigami. Kensei & Rose are supposedly dead, but I'm skeptical about whether or not it's true or if there's a way of revival. Hitsugaya, Byakuya, and Komamura are incapacitated at the moment ~ I do hope they'll jump right back up to kick some more @SS. Unohana turned out to be the first Kenpachi and, quoting the movie Highlander, "There can only be one" as she dukes it out against Zaraki Kenpachi. Shinji & Sui-Feng is currently aiding Mayuri & new 1st division Captain Shunsui Kyoraku against the Wandenreich. The cover page was beautiful to look at and shows the color scheme of the Captains attire & facial expressions.

I hope you enjoyed this Throwback post. Look forward to Throwbacks on Fridays. Until then, stay tuned for next week's installment of the Attack of Covers (Affinities #76-86). Stay Classy as always ladies & gentlemen. Be sure to check out MIKandIK3 and I's 1st SGABR (Sexy Girls of Anime Battle Royale) post: Bleach vs. Fairy Tail Edition ~ Mirajane Strauss vs. Yoruichi Shihoin (FT 1-0 against Bleach).

SGABR #1 (Bleach vs. Fairy Tail) - Mirajane Strauss vs. Yoruichi Shihoin

VS.

TGIF. Welcome to MIKandIK3 and I's first collaborative SGABR (Sexy Girls of Anime Battle Royale) posts pitting the girls of Bleach & Fairy Tail together. For those of you new to the Memoirs of Bleach Zealot, I have a daily schedule of posts: Mondays ~ Fight Nights (pitting Anime characters against another), Tuesdays ~ Affinities (the love/hate interactions of Bleach characters), Thursdays - WBCRs (Bleach chapter reviews)/Legacies (Discussing other Anime and their impact), and Fridays ~ Throwbacks (EVERY moment in Bleach discussed). Mostly when it comes to collaborations, it's either done usually on a MWF (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday) basis, but for our 1st SGABR (previously renamed BCC), MIKandIK3 and I will be posting Bleach vs. Fairy Tail on Fridays for 11 weeks (11 posts = 11 fights). Today's first SGABR ~ Bleach vs. Fairy Edition battle  is between Fairy Tail's Mirajane Strauss and Bleach's Yoruichi Shihoin. As always, please do leave a comment on who you'd think would win between the two. Verdict/Decision will be by MIKandIK3. And now, a few words from MIKandIK3 himself:

Alright it’s time for a through down! We’re starting off with some of the top guns, I don’t plan on goin easy on StillMatic and his bleach chicks. So without further ado lest get the show on the road!

Story (Mirajane)
The furthest back Mirajanes’ story goes is when she is 13, her parents are dead and she is left to look after her two younger siblings, Elfman and Lisanna. When a powerful demon attacks their town Mirajane helps the townspeople and protects her siblings with her newfound magic power. However she is terrified by this power as she takes partial characteristics of the demon she defeated. The townspeople cast her out, but her loving siblings accompany her to exile. The live together to search for a cure and happen to stumble across the town of Magnolia and in it the wizard guild Fairy Tail. They are relived when they hear that it is no curse, but all part of Mirajane’s magical ability “Take-Over magic.” Mirajane still believed herself to be a monster and attempted to leave Magnolia; however, she was stopped by Elfman and Lisanna who had learned their own versions of Take-Over so that their older sister wouldn't be alone. She goes to live the live with her new family in Fairy Tail with her younger siblings. During this time she has a more rebel or punk attitude as she bullies and picks on both younger Gray and (yes even) Natsu. She also fights and butts heads with her rival Erza. Mirajane goes on to achieve the title of S-class wizard at the age of 16. However, after the loss of her sister, Lisanna,  Mirajane abandoned her bullying tendencies and became the sweet and motherly figure beloved by the guild today. She also lost her will to fight and the vast majority of her power over time.

Story (Yoruichi)
Yoruichi was born as a princess of the Shihoin Noble family and is childhood friends with Kisuke Urahara & Tessai, where they played at the Sokyoku Hill Training Space (which was built by Kisuke Urahara). It would be later where took up the responsibility as Captain of the 2nd Division (Stealth Force) and took on her role as the 22nd Princess - becoming the first Princess of the Shihoin Household. When Kisuke was promoted to be 12th Division Captain & was solely responsible for the Visored's birth. Yoruichi alone was the one who helped aid Kisuke & Tessai from receiving punishment. Together, the three were banished to the Living world where they hid in secrecy as to escape persecution while trying to conceal the whereabouts of the Hogyoku. During her tenor as Captain of the 2nd division, she often joked about with a much younger and childish Byakuya Kuchiki, offering to play wit him for her amusement much to Byakuya's annoyance. From her tenor as Captain & Princess to present day, she has a playful, rebellious, & witty side to her.

Yoruichi first appeared in her cat form to Kisuke Urahara. She assists Team Ichigo in rescuing Rukia, where she informs Ichigo's group on the dangers of the Gotei 13 as well as train them to the best of their abilities. She eventually reveals herself to Ichigo as to who he is and who Kisuke Urahara is and steps in, later, to save Ichigo from acting irrationally against Byakuya Kuchiki. She is seen later fighting against the new 2nd Division Captain and her former bodyguard, Sui-Feng Yoruichi won and showcased her usage and imperfect form of Shunko. Convincing Sui-Feng otherwise, the two 2nd Division Stealth Force Captains of the New & Old tried to thwart Aizen's defection plan only later to see that it was too late to save Aizen. Later on, Yoruichi & Kisuke aid in stopping Yammy's rampage and way later is seen alongside Kisuke & Isshin in stopping Aizen, only later to lose to him with Ichigo being the key to victory. During the Fullbringer Arc, Ichigo notices that part of Yoruichi's Reiatsu in imbedded within him in reassurance of Ichigo's retrieval of Shinigami powers. So in the current storyline, Yoruichi is, alongside the various allies, trying to do away with Yhwach & the Wandenreich.

Personality (Mirajane)
Mirajane is known as the sweet caring and bright smiled bartender at Fairy Tail. To her, the guild and her family are the most important things she has and will protect them with her life as she has shown time and time again. She is always cheerful and does her best to be the loving motherly figure for the guild, and even to those who are not in the guild she tries her best to comfort and cheer up. She seen comforting Yukino who was kicked out of Saber Tooth guild for being weak. She tells her that it is okay, as everyone exists for a reason and that no matter how small Yukino's might be, she still has one. Mirajane is the protective mother to the guild and if anyone dares to cause harm to any of her family they face the wrath of the demon she keeps inside her.

Personality (Yoruichi)
Yoruichi is pretty witty and intelligent, being one of the oldest Shinigami around since the time of the Visored (before their hollowification). She has extensive knowledge of the Gotei 13 as well as the Soul Society as a whole ~ its strengths, weaknesses, and perks. During her time as a Captain and even presently, she was pretty laid-back and tends to cause trouble (example: wanting to provoke Byakuya into a chase). She's pretty serious at times too when it comes to combat, but most of the time she's open, enthusiastic, and fearless (example: exposing herself in front of Ichigo ~ @$$ & Pu$$y). Yoruichi can be both an intimidating threat & a jokester ~ perfect package.

Attraction/Appeal (Mirajane)
When we first get a glimpse of Mirajane she is posing in the latest edition of Sorcerers Weekly that lucy is reading in the very first chapter of fairy Tail, and might I say a very fine photo at that. She is a slim young woman of below average height. She has long, white hair which curls slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her chest; her hairstyle's most distinctive trait is a short, upward ponytail over her forehead. She one of the many women in Fairy Tail with great curves and an amazing chest. Not only in her regular form, her demon form as well though her arms and legs turn to that of a demon her torso remains normal and id only covered in a one piece skin suit and exposes most her ass stomach and boobs. Though the best appearances happen during the wizard tournament, when Mirajane goes head to head with Jenny form Blue Pegasus in which what turns into a swimsuit contest with each girl doing a number of really good poses. Jenny makes things interesting with a bet that whoever loses has to do a nude shot for Sorcerer Weekly Magazine. Mirajane accepts and beats Jenny with her Satan soul. Jenny, in distraught of the overwhelming embarrassment, gets back at Mirajane when the guilds are relaxing at a water park. She snatches Mira’s bikini top while she doesn’t suspect her, while gawking in the fact that she has disgraced Mirajane, Mira pulls down Jenny’s bikini bottom. Two heavenly chapter of a beautiful white haired girl. Mirajane is I think a perfect example of a girl who is a beautiful nurturing angel on the outside. But cross her and you’ll get the bad ass Queen Demon with the wrath of hell after you!

Attraction/Appeal (Yoruichi)
Yoruichi is the 3rd person in Bleach w/the largest BEEWBS (The 1st being Rangiku & the other Orihime). Yoruichi caught my eye immediately as she exposed her true self to Ichigo going from cat to human form. Yoruichi is one of the hottest Bleach chicks and to top it all off ~ she's a badass princess. Her outfit when fighting Aizen was just pure awesomeness and I'm always psyched whenever I see her. For being a Princess, Yoruichi is quite the little rebel....I like that.

Verdict (By MIKandIK3)
And the winner is…

This was actually a closer fight than I thought it would be. After brushing up on my Bleach knowledge, and remembering how hot Yoruichi could be it became a bit of a challenge. Naturally I find Mirajanes character attracting and she’s a model with and amazing body I mean come man!! dat Pose!! X D. And she her Satan Soul is scary as hell but still very sexy mind you. Yoruichi has a great body too, I can’t deny that, when she transforms into her Human form directly in front of Ichigo butt naked. Aaahhhhh those were good times. The killer for me is Yoruichi likes to stay in her cat form more than her human form. Which……ya…. I mean I like cats but I’d much rather have a beautiful smiling angel than a little pussy. Cat I mean.

So who did you think won this battle ~ Mirajane Strauss from Fairy Tail or Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach. Comment below and let us know. Look forward to SGABR posts on Fridays (11 weeks). Until then, you all stay classy now. Fairy Tail leads 1-0 against Bleach.
