Throwback #82-83 ~ Attack of the Covers Parts 7-8

First of all, I'd like to take this chance and apologize for not having posted for the last 2 Fridays. The new Quarter just started at my school & I had other obligations to attend to. So for this week only, there'll be TWO Throwbacks (#82 & 83) that'll go over the Attack of Covers segment (Throwbacks #76-86). Without further ado, let's jam!

Throwback #82 - Half & Half
This is one spooky picture depicting two sides of our main hero. One side is pure-hearted, righteous, and is willing to cast aside in life in order to protect those he cares about. On the other hand, we have a short-tempered, violent, and brutal force of corruption that'll either up devouring purity or be consumed by it. This picture is a pretty interesting take on Yin & Yang ~ Good & Evil, Push & Pull (Avatar reference much), and Light & Darkness. The Skull is a depiction of catastrophe ~ ruination of what is all good. We see a sliver of hope when we see our hero's face ~ determined to put an end to the battle within himself. He is more than capable of doing so, but of course the heart is conflicted. A part of him is willing to do good whereas the other is willing to cast aside all that in order to bring chaos into the world. In a life-or-death situation, our hero's heart was conflicted ~ protecting his friends, but at the same time the evil within himself is pushing to be selfish ~ wanting to be in the spotlight to hinder our hero's advances. However, we knew in the end that darkness can never triumph so long as our hero continues to pursue what is good & have a strong & firm belief that it's possible to achieve peace in victory over evil.

Throwback #83 - Afterwards
This picture/cover takes place after the Xcution arc. We see a very mature-looking Ichigo all grown up w/his friends all having done the same. This turn of events of course brings about the change in the story as it outlines the greater threat that'll eventually take a huge toll on everyone. Change can do so much to a person, but Ichigo never changed ~ he's still our favorite hero that fights in order to protect his family & friends. However, unbeknownst to him, one of his friends would have changed to the degree that we start to question whether this change was coincidental, intentional, or accidental. The journey of our Strawberry hero is what you'd call an epic, but of course all things must come to an end. As we venture forth into the future, we see that it'll be conflicted & torn with good & evil clashing once more in a battle to see if order can be restored or if chaos will take over and turn asunder everything and everyone. However, our heroes won't give into defeat so easily as they fight for their very lives to protect their futures. Friendships are tested, loyalties are questioned, and above all else ~ a whirlwind of good & evil will consume the battlefield.

I hope you enjoyed this week's double Throwback. Look forward to Throwback posts on Fridays (if delayed, the next day). Until then, stay tuned for next week's installment of the Attack of Covers (Throwbacks #76-86). SGABR will be up before midnight.
