For the last 3 chapters, we saw what initially started off as an unusual relationship between two comrades turn sour when one becomes Captain and the other is treated like dirt. Funny, when the two first met, it was the other way around. Ironic, isn't it? This chapter centers around the climax of Jugo & Bazz. At this point in time, Jugo has changed and is completely obedient to Yhwach's command. Underneath his tutelage Jugo is a changed man. From the get-go, Bazz wanted to kill Yhwach and by allying with the Sternritter, it'd give him an opportunity to strike when least expected. Jugo initially was all for Bazz's plan, but things change and his resolve to serve under Yhwach weighed more than getting vengeance. A man of order, Jugo wanted to maintain everything in its place despite being new as a Captain. However, one thing never changed when the two were growing up ~ Jugo never had any resolve to kill Bazz. Present, Bazz's quest for revenge has come to an end as Jugo finally ended him. Jugo feels nothing towards killing his friend whereas Bazz feels empty, thinking that dying by Jugo's hands would be more emotional. The last words were: "Let's become the strongest Quincies....ever." Jugo has surpassed all expectations whereas Bazz was no match. At the end of the day, it illustrates friendship and how it's tested through time. One stuck to his own gut the entire time whereas the other was swayed by a man who calls himself a God. A friendship that could've been, but never ceased to function properly. The end of Bazz was called for, but I do wish Jugo felt some sort of sympathy ~ maybe later on, who knows. I'm going to give this week's chapter a solid: B.
What did you think of the chapter? Did it satisfy and deliver or just outright sucked and disappointed? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to WBCRs whenever chapter's out (if delayed, post will be up on Weekends). Until then, you stay classy as always.
