WBCR - Father & "Daughter" (Grade: B)

Welcome back to WBCRs (Weekly Bleach Chapter Reviews) where I give my thoughts, impressions, and even objections on the latest Bleach chapter that's mainly released on Thursdays by Mangastream. As I've stated, I will stick to this schedule and will, to the best of my abilities, try to uphold that schedule. Without further ado, let's talk about this week's chapter titled: Baby, Hold your Hand 4 [when I am sleeping]. Continuing off from last week's chapter, Mayuri is furious that Nemu has no disregard for her life despite Nemu having saved Mayuri from certain doom. The chapters starts off with Nemu handing Mayuri a Hojikuzai (translation: Capture Meat Medicine) which pretty much grows a limb from an injection. Mayuri finds Nemu's independence unsettling, but still continues to pursue Pernida. While battling Pernida, Mayuri devises a plan to completely paralyze Pernida. Nemu would be the one to inject Pernida with the "nerve" freezing agent. However, the plan backfired as Pernida says "You're gonna have to do better than that Kurotsuchi." Mayuri then concludes that the reason why Pernida is able to evolve is because its nerves is able to absorb information. Mayuri orders Nemu to retreat and we see a very distressed Nemu about to jump right in front of Mayuri & Pernida. Next chapter, to me, can begin with these scenarios:

1) Nemu sacrifices herself to save Mayuri from danger/Backstory behind her Birth
2) Mayuri sacrifices himself to save Nemu from danger/Backstory behind her Birth
3) Mayuri saves both himself & Nemu and has plotted a contingency plan
4) Pernida is f*cked up by the combined efforts of Father & Daughter

Unfortunately, It appears that #1 is going to happen (I may be wrong) in next week's chapter.. Despite the criticism Nemu receives, it is heavily implied that Mayuri does care for Nemu's wellbeing, but of course it's a very twisted relationship the two have. To Nemu, Mayuri is her master, creator, & father, but to Mayuri ~ it's delving right into the idea that Mayuri, aside from his twisted personality, has some sort of humanity to him when it comes to his daughter. I like where this going and it just shows how much Nemu's evolved ~ she acted on her own accord and was able to save Mayuri twice. Nemu, in the past couple of chapters, is becoming more humanistic in my opinion. Mayuri may be a mad scientist, but Nemu is his life whether he sees it or not. I'm going to give this week's chapter a B. Fyi ~ Nemu has some big ol' BEEWBIEZ.
