Legacy #30 - Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun
What goes on in the mind of an artist? They continuously are in a creative process and it is because of this process that sometimes the world revolving around them is their landscape and the many events that take place are their ideas. Watching this Anime, the direction of where it went far exceeded my expectations. This was one of those Anime I sporadically decided to pick up, heard it got really good reviews, and I ended up finishing the series in a day. So…do I like or love this show> Well, it's a bit of both. I love the bright & colorful characters as well as parodying the cliche of romance elements. However, what we really got me hooked into this series was the comedic timing. The comedy in this show was sub-par at first, but the more I watched it ~ it really did make me go LOL. Much like D-Frag, this show introduces funny characters, a generic setting (which isn't necessarily bad), and WT scenarios. The main two characters are supposedly the chemistry in the series, but due to a misunderstanding, the male protagonist assumes that a confession meant an autograph. Of course this displeases the main female protagonist, but at the same time she can't help but grow more and more love with him despite his weird & unique take on life. He's a manga artist and he's continuously imagining the world of his manga into the perspective of where he lives & breathes. Creativity can take a whole lot out of you, but for the guy ~ it's his bread & butter. I'm not going to go further into detail on the series other than saying the characters are all unique/are funny as sh*t, the setting (though simple) makes the situations a lot more funny, & parodying of romance in general was just spot-on. I highly recommend this series to anyone interested in Comedy. Only 12 episodes w/the Manga series debuting in 2011 (still ongoing), this shows never fails to deliver.
I hope you enjoyed this week's Legacy post. Look forward to Legacy posts on Thursdays. Until then, you all stay classy now. There's no Bleach chapter this week so no WBCR.
