Ah yes, to start off
Affinity Tuesdays, how about we start off with the 10th Division Duo - Toshiro Hitsugaya & Rangiku Matsumoto. Now, this couple has been around for a long time, dating back to when Ichigo's father, Isshin, was still the 10th Division captain. Toshiro was simply a 3rd Seat back in his day and Rangiku has always been the Lieutenant (Vice Captain) of the 10th Division. Through their bickering lies a beautiful, trusting, and compatible relationship as Captain & Lieutenant. They're relationship, in my opinion, is in my top fav Bleach couples list.
Rangiku, being older than Toshiro, could've ended up becoming the next captain, but instead, our little 3rd seater, Toshiro, became the next 10th Division Captain. And the comedy ensues. Their relationship, I admit, is like Big Sister & Little Brother, which I found cute and at the same time comical. Rangiku was the once who recruited (more or less suggested) Toshiro to the Gotei 13 because of Toshiro's powers (his Grandmother was freezing to death in her bed due to Toshiro's spiritual energy leaking). Toshiro finds Rangiku to be both annoying and reliable, even in the past and even today. Annoying in the sense that she is lazy in doing her work + she drinks a lot and reliable when having Toshiro's back in battle. Rangiku is very loyal to Toshiro as shown in the 2nd Bleach movie where she worried for his return or even in their fight against the 3rd Espada and her fraccion.
Their relationship, I believe, is pretty much - they're bickering siblings, but I wouldn't be lying if I said that they would make a cute couple (despite Rangiku being older than Toshiro). I mean there has been fan-fiction and fanart of the duo together as a couple (and I wouldn't be lying if I said there were a lot of em with kissing/hugging/and you know...sex). Both have each other's backs and when the tough gets going, they are the tag-team duo with a deadly combination of Ice & Ash. I mean Rangiku is to die for, look at her and tell me you wouldn't want to fight alongside her/be her superior or even serve under her. And Toshiro, so cool, calm, and ICY (Yeah, he gots the skills to pay the bills). This duo puts the "Kick" in Kick ass relationships and thus starts off our
