WBCR - Discord (Grade A-)

Build up Build up Build up, the suspense is too damn high ladies and gentlemen. We have yet another cliffhanger chapter and you know what, cliffhangers have their place in the fictional/nonfictional world as being one of the most annoying things you will ever encounter, especially since Manga are released on weekly/monthly bases - leaving the fans to question the Author's intentions, good or bad. The way to sum up this chapter is one word - Discord. Uryu's place beside Juha Bach was to cause discord amongst the Vandreich - to question his "uniqueness." One particular Stern Ritter is concerned of the Vandreich's future and she goes by the name Bambietta Basterbine ("E"). She, like most Stern Ritters, is likely unconvinced that Uryu, a stranger who stepped on the Vandreich's door, would just go about becoming the next successor. She, I admit, is so deeply concerned with it that she asks a random member to "do it," when in actuality she just killed the fool (pretty much bisects the guy) just for some pure entertainment (that and she does this if she's annoyed). Four new female Vandreich were revealed:

1) Liltotto Lamperd "G"
2) Meninas McAllon "P"
3) Candic Catnipp "T"
4) Giselle Gewelle "Z"

I admit P, T, & Z are quite the lookers, but Bambietta has stolen my heart (oh yes she has). So anyways, Uryu's "uniqueness" to becoming the next successor is because of the so-called "Selektierung of the Gemischt Quincy (Selection of the Mixed Quincy)" purging. Uryu was the only one left to live, which makes him a asset and even he could surpass Juha Bach. Jugram, on one hand, doesn't wish to intervene with Juha Bach's wishes and believes discord (or friction) is needed in order for the Vandenreich to understand Uryu Ishida's "uniqueness." Knowing this, Uryu has no choice but to abide by Juha Bach's orders, despite what they may be.

I admit, what makes this chapter a Cliffhanger is pretty much the ending, where Orihime sets off to travel as a way of training. She question comically if Chad had eaten the food she made for him (despite Chad saying it was awful and what was it/safe to eat or not). Kisuke Urahara makes his appearance by giving Orihime "Pero-Chan," a built-in camera that monitors potential dangers and alerts anyone so that Kisuke will be on his way. Chad shows up outta nowhere and says "Everyone's together now," with someone's feet being shown in the background. Chapter ends with Kisuke saying he's gotta take some time to fix something, a circular thing encased in a box.

Now this is what I got from the chapter

a) Bambietta is hot + Don't F with her
b) The object at the end is likely (if not) the Hogyoku (Urahara's version)
c) Bambietta could be a potential central character in the Vandenreich (next to As Nodt & Bazz-B)
d) Uryu can surpass Juha Bach due to him surviving the Mixed Quincy Selection Purge

and e) That guy in the background behind Chad is probably Grimmjow or an ally.

Anyways, a pretty solid buildup, character reveal, and cliffhanger chapter. This week, I'm going to give it an A-. Now it may sound boring to some, but remember, Uryu is the central focus of the Vandenreich right now + Bambietta looks to be a central character to the Vandenreich (possibly). Where will we go with this? Who knows, but tune in next week for Bleach. Check out this week's chapter here: http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/20030528/1
