Ah, if there’s one thing I will always remember and laugh
at, it was Rukia’s so-called “good” drawings whereas every other character
(especially Ichigo) thought it was complete garbage, to which Rukia would
comically beat him senseless upside the head. She always displays a cutesy
drawing of cute and cuddly creatures that are often represented as models for
important events & exposition to the storyline (Ex: Rukia displaying what hollows/pluses are to Ichigo in the picture). This leads many to question whether her
drawings are to be taken seriously or if the content relating to the drawings
is more important. And at the sight of her drawings, Rukia takes great pride,
like Byakuya, in displaying her own creations that she highly believes that her
drawings aren’t “garbage,” but rather it explains situations and scenarios in
her own perspective. However, not many would go so far as to compliment her
drawings considering how the cutesiness of it distracts rather than detail. When plotting out situations, character developments, and exposition, Rukia takes the initiative of drawing out everything to her friends so that it would seem clearer (in her own right) when in actuality, the portrayals are often distracting and are taken as a "Bad drawing" gag rather than just going with explanation through dialogue. Here a few more examples of her displays of trying to convey exposition to her fellow comrades (With the exception of the last picture):
Bleach Episode 329
The first few episodes of Bleach
and lastly......her "sandy" creations w/Nee-Sama
Anyways, I found her drawings and especially her sand sculpture to be quite comical, cute, and being weird interpretation of how she perceives something. No, I take that back, it isn't weird to Rukia, it's completely normal. Tune in tomorrow for Mondays Fight Night. Til then, you stay classy.
