Welcome to what I'd like to call the final stretch for the Affinity posts. For the last 4 Affinities (#97-100), I'm calling it the Strawberry Contact ~ explicating 4 Affinities with the one & only star of Bleach ~ Ichigo Kurosaki. The last Affinity post will be July 28th. Today's 1st Strawberry Contact Affinity post features the hero, Ichigo Kurosaki, vs the antagonist, Aizen Sousuke. When initially labeled as an "antagonist" and as "Ryoka," Ichigo wanted to save Rukia from her demise whereas the man behind the curtain all along scheming, plotting, and staying level-headed was Aizen sousuke. When it was discovered of Aizen's true intentions, Ichigo tried to thwart him, but to no avail. It'd take some time to assemble an army on both sides, but ever since that incident, Ichigo has held a strong animosity over Aizen. Aizen, possessing a sharp perceptive on pretty much everything, is on a whole other level compared to Ichigo. He singlehandedly defeated Ichigo by putting one finger on Ichigo's blade. Ichigo managed to become even stronger whereas it seemed as if Aizen became more arrogant he evolved. As much as I think Aizen's a bad@SS in his own right, he pulled the typical villain cliche of overestimating his opponent, evolving more and more (but still losing the fight), and thinking that his loss is inconceivable. Point of the matter is, these two are hero & villain ~ they were already at each other's guts the moment Aizen sided with the Arrancars. It doesn't help either that Orihime was kidnapped on Aizen's orders ~ you don't take a young teenage boy's girl. Stealing the Hogyoku, kidnapping Orihime, & almost destroying Karakura Town ~ it's settled that these two would eventually fight until one is declared victor.
I hope you enjoyed this week's Affinity post. 3 more weeks until the finale. Until them, you stay classy.
