Yusuke Urameshi vs. Ichigo Kurosaki (The Ultimate Showdown)

VS.

The FINAL SHOWDOWN is about to begin and what better way to end BH month by talking about our heroes - Yusuke Urameshi from YYH and Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach? These two encompass everything when it comes to being a hero - Having the power to protect those they care about, have the potential to become even stronger when in times of impending danger, and have a signature move that defines where they're abilities stem from. These two are what make the YYH & Bleach series so interesting - they're well-developed, have a strong sense of what's close to them, and have pretty sick techniques when it comes to seeing their fights. Without further ado, let's begin our BH Season 1 Finale by comparing the following: History, Role in Story, Power/Abilities, Love Interest, Teamwork (New Segment), Legacy, & Fight Record.

History ~ Yusuke
Not much is emphasized in YYH on Yusuke's backstory, but as seen in the picture ~ Yusuke & Keiko have been childhood friends. Keiko was the one who reached out to Yusuke first and this then flourished into a friendship that'll develop into love.  In the past, Yusuke was disciplined by his father by being continuously spanked, but it's not the central focus of Yusuke's backstory. Yusuke's mother, as seen in YYH, is a single 28 year old raising her now 14 yr old son. You can safely say that Yusuke's upbringing wasn't the best and the only glimmer of hope and happiness he had was his meeting with Keiko.

History ~ Ichigo
Ichigo's character constantly is revolved around his history. He had a loving Quincy mother who died trying to protect her son from a hollow attack, a father who is a member of the Shiba Clan & former 10th division Captain, and two twin sisters who are spiritually aware of Spirits & Hollows. Ichigo was once a happy little boy up until her mother's demise and since then, he constantly is reminded of that day. His father still mourns over her loss, but knows that there's more work to be done in the Kurosaki household. Ichigo is childhood friends with Tatsuki and later makes a promise with Chad to protect him if he does the same for him. Ichigo is renowned fighter growing up and to this day, is still challenged by various delinquents because of both his strength and his trademark orange hair. Since enrolling in school, Ichigo has made many friends - Keigo, Mizuiro, and the love interest herself, Orihime Inoue.

Role in YHH ~ Yusuke
Yusuke is a 14 year old boy who died trying to save a boy from getting run over by a car. After his passing, he was tasked by Koenma to be a Spirit Detective. And from then on, he has been tasked in ridding the world of evil demons that plague to do wrong to both the Spirit World & the Human World such as Goki, Rando, Suzaku, the Toguro Brothers, Shinobu, & eventually Yomi ~ one of the 3 Kings of Demon World.. His eventual ascension into his Spirit Detective adventures lands him into the heart of the Dark Tournament, his discovery of demon ancestry, and his participation in the Demon Tournament. Along the way, he befriended demons of all sorts as he is the protector of both the Spirit & Human World. However, his discovery of demon ancestry jeopardized his position as Spirit Detective and his eventual ascension in power in the Demon World permanently fired him from his Spirit Detective job. Yusuke's journey from Spirit Detective to being one of Raizen's ancestors soon comes to an end wen he returns to the Human World to confess his love to Keiko Yukimura, the one woman who always had his back.

Role in Bleach ~ Ichigo
In order to protect his family from danger, Ichigo made a pact with Rukia and became the 2nd Substitute Soul Reaper. Rukia's involvement in Karakura had a big influence on Ichigo's life - going from a regular teenager to a Shinigami fighting off Hollows and eventually ~ other Shinigami, Bounts (filler), Arrancar, Manifested Zanpaktou (filler), Reigai (filler), Fullbringers, and, currently, Quincy. Ichigo, at first, was tasked in fighting off Hollows in Karakura Town, but soon Rukia is taken away and Ichigo has to save her before her execution. Later, it would be explained that Rukia's Gigai body holds the Hogyoku, capable of breaking the boundaries of Shinigami & Hollow. It wouldn't be long before Ichigo meets the Visored, who inform him of the Hollow within him. After conquering his Hollow powers & getting stronger, Ichigo's primary enemy became Aizen up until he defeated him after the Hogyoku rejected him. After Aizen's defeat, Ichigo lost all his Shinigami and Hollow powers and was now back to being a regular human. However, the battle wasn't over as Ichigo met a newfound enemy - The Fullbringers. Ichigo was thought to have lost after receiving his fullbringer powers, but Rukia comes back and saves Ichigo by giving him Shinigami powers. Ichigo would soon come to learn of the history behind his mother's death, who is father is, and who the Gotei 13 are currently facing - The Wandenreich. Ichigo's hidden Shinigami powers have resurfaced and it's up to him to once again save the day before the Human World & the Soul Society collapse.

Powers/Abilities ~ Yusuke
Yusuke is incredibly strong since he possesses both Spirit & Demon Energy. Being of Raizen's ancestors, the demon energy within him amplified his power ten-fold to S-class level. His trademark attack is a Spirit Gun, a blue beam of light that is concentrated as a projectile attack. He is also a hand-to-hand combatant, capable of standing toe-to-toe against strong demons like Rando, Younger Toguro, Shinobu, & even his ancestral father, Raizen. With Yusuke's built-up Spirit & Demon Energy, he is able to amplify his Spirit Gun to large extents, fire a Demon Gun (Demonic version of his Spirit Gun), fire a Spirit Shotgun (blast of spirit energy), the trademark Spirit Wave, his Demonic form, and even possesses Sacred Energy. Yusuke's has initially been just a delinquent, but after his death and training as Spirit Detective - he has only gotten stronger and stronger to the point where he truly is the strongest character in all of YYH.

Powers/Abilities ~ Ichigo
Ichigo, being a Shinigami/Quincy hybrid, is easily one of the strongest characters in Bleach and is considered a special war potential to the Quincy. As a Shinigami, he was capable of both Shikai & Bankai, Shunpo, and being an expert swordsman. However, he also is capable of Hollowification ~ amplifying his power to that of a great or equal extent to a Captain-level Shinigami. Probably the most famous of Ichigo's techniques is Getsuga Tensho, a black wave of condensed spirit energy. After defeating Aizen, he temporarily lost his Shinigami powers and completely lost his Hollow powers, later to learn about Fullbring ~ only later to have it taken from him by Ginjo Kugo. Rukia and various other Shinigami gave Ichigo another opportunity, but Ichigo soon would come to realize that his actual Shinigami power was actually his true Quincy power. He had to find his Asauchi and soon, he has a newfound form of his Zangetsu & his newfound Quincy powers (capable of using Blut Vene). At the heart of it all, Ichigo is a Shinigami/Quincy hybird, the son of Shinigami Isshin & Quincy Masaki.

Yusuke & Keiko (YusKei)
Yusuke & Keiko's relationship throughout YYH has been a dynamic one because from the get-go, they've been relatively close. Since childhood, Keiko reached out Yusuke and it wouldn't be long before their friendship turned into love. When Yusuke was getting pummeled throughout the Dark Tournament, Keiko was at a loss of words, believing that the tournament full of Demons couldn't possible be real. This showcases her genuine concern and worry over Yusuke's wellbeing and Yusuke himself is pushing the limits of what he can/cannot do. During the Demon Tournament, Yusuke had to leave Keiko for a set amount of time ~ will their love flourish for being apart for awhile? After Yusuke's return, Keiko's hair has grown longer and she misses Yusuke dearly. When he reappears, Yusuke not only was knocked back by Keiko, but she kissed him as seen in the picture. Keiko has kissed Yusuke twice now (1st when he was "dead" and the finale). Truly, they do love each other and care for one another's wellbeing.

Ichigo & Orihime (Ichihime)
Much like YusKei, Ichigo and Orihime care for each other's wellbeing and want what's best for one another. As seen in the picture, Orihime was close to kissing Ichigo as she explained that if she had multiple lives, they'd all love Ichigo. Ichigo was deeply worried over her "Defection" to Aizen's army, but knew it was all a ploy to garner the attention of the Gotei 13 and instigate a full-on war between the Shinigami & Arrancar. Orihime deeply worries for Ichigo and goes out of her way to heal his wounds. Ichigo was almost kissed by Orihime, hugged from behind, and was cried for after Ichigo defeated Byakuya and almost died by Aizen's hands. Orihime was saved and carried by Ichigo. Ichihime still a long way before they each YusKei level.

Team Urameshi
This new segment allows me to talk about Yusuke's team - Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, & Genkai. In the Dark Tournament, these 5 had to go toe-to-toe agains the strongest of demons. They persevered and learned not only how strong each other was, but learned to respect one another as teammates and as friends. Yusuke & Kuwabara already knew each other, but Yusuke met Hiei & Kurama when they were antagonists. The 4 soon developed a bond of friendship and rivalry that is to go done as one of the most dynamic groups out there. Genkai is seen as part of the group, but is more of a side-character since she only played a major role in the Dark Tournament. Team Urameshi has gone through hell and back to ensure that everyone is capable of fighting and comes out alive. They're a true family and there's no better word to describe it than that - family.

Team Kurosaki
Ichigo's team consists of Orihime, Uryu, Chad, Rukia, Renji, and, at times, Kisuke Urahara. These 4 all go the same high school and are incredibly close friends. In the past, Ichigo befriended Chad by making a promise with him - you got my back and I got yours. Ichigo and Orihime became friends through Tatsuki, but Orihime's feelings for him matured into love. Ichigo & Uryu are Shinigami & Quincy and thus are rivals, but Uryu has yet to learn of Ichigo's true heritage as a Hybrid. All-in-all, they are all close, worry for each other's safety, and have proven they can stand toe-to-toe against all odds as a team. They are much like Team Urameshu ~ A family.

Yusuke's Legacy
Yusuke's legacy has been a reminder that peace can happen between the Human, Spirit, & Demon Worlds. There can be no meddling so long as no one breaches each other's territory. That is what Yusuke's legacy encompasses. He is both human and demon ~ a mix of both worlds, but his true heritage lies in what he is capable of doing in the future - being all grown up, being together with Keiko, and still be close friends with his own Team. Yusuke's power, growth, and maturity are what define what he has become ~ a normal delinquent who turned into a responsible and well-respected man. He has changed the hearts of humans and demons alike - fostering a future that seems brighter than ever.

Ichigo's Legacy
Bleach is still ongoing, but Ichigo's legacy will go down as being one of the most beneficial assets to the Soul Society, being a Shinigami + Quincy hybrid, and the one who took down Byakuya, Kenpachi, Aizen, Ginjo, and soon Yhwach. Ichigo is without a doubt one of the strongest characters in all of Bleach ~ garnering both the respect and fear from his peers. Ichigo's devotion to protecting the Human World & the Soul Society is unparallel. Ichigo truly is Bleach's hero and one who'll go down as being Soul Society's savior, peacekeeper, and friend.

Verdict
And the winner of our last BH post will go to...
One of the hardest things to judge and personally, I am 50/50 on this vote. I see the positives and negatives of both sides. I like both characters a lot, but to be fair for a second ~ we have to tackle each subject carefully and cautiously. Both had a pretty bad upbringing, were delinquents, and their fates would soon change. However, one fact still remains ~ Bleach is continuing & YYH is over. That is the biggest clincher in this fight and I think Bleach won because it leaves room for development on our main character. I love YYH's development in characters & powers ~ but it does question whether or not Yusuke will return later on in the upcoming Demon Tournaments or if he still will retain his power after the YYH finale. With Ichigo, he is still there ~ kicking ass & taking names. He just got a new Zanpaktou and we have yet to see what it's capable of whereas we know everything Yusuke is capable of. I do like Yusuke's character a lot, but to be honest - since Bleach is still ongoing, it leaves room to see what Ichigo is capable of now. So this victory, despite me being 50/50 on this decision, goes to Ichigo.

So who do you think won this final matchup between these two fantastic, powerful, and likable warriors - Yusuke from YYH or Ichigo from Bleach? Comment below and let me know. Thank you so much for following me on this BH journey. This was something I wanted to do for quite some time. There'll be future collaborations with Bleach & other series, just you wait. There'll be a BH Season 2 later on in 2014/beginning of 2015. As always, you are a great audience and you all stay classy now. Please be sure to check out all the BH posts. Bleach won 20-8 against YYH

Yomi vs. Aizen Sousuke (The Tyrannical Villains)

VS.

I do apologize again for posting late and a day late, been out and about. Anyways, what else can be said about these two villains - smart, charismatic, manipulative, and overall a all-around bad guy. You can't really feel sympathetic towards them because they're overall goal is to be a being that surpasses everyone else. This is an interesting matchup, but who truly is more villainous than the other? I can tell you this - both have posed a true threat to our main heroes, but nonetheless evil left it's mark. Today will be a Matchup of Villains - Yomi from YYH & Aizen Sousuke from Bleach. The following will be compared: Backstory, Role in Story, Powers/Abilities, & Fight Record:

Backstory ~ Yomi
Before Yomi was one the 3 Kings of the Demon World, he was a bandit alongside Yoko Kurama's ragtime of no-good looters. His ambition led him to stumble in the ranks of Yoko's command - wanting to go off doing his own thing in hopes it'll be the quickest way to power. However, time and time again Yoko saved him, but there was one particular day where he didn't come ~ leaving Yomi to die due to his careless . The day a formidable assassin actually hired by Yoko took away Yomi's sight ~ was it a premonition of good faith or a gesture of betrayal? To Yomi, it seemed as if it was both as he'd rise up to the ranks as being one of the strongest S-class demons out there and one of the 3 Ruling Demon Kings of Demon World up until Enki took control. Even after losing his throne, he comes to respect Yusuke as a fighter and as a man who changed Yomi's view of the world.

Backstory ~ Aizen
Aizen, before being the antagonist of Bleach and before even reaching the level of Captain, was Shinji Hirako's lieutenant in the 5th division. However, even at the time of his being a lieutenant Shinji - he was plotting to taker control of the Hogyoku & learn the secrets of transcending the powers of Shinigami & Hollow. He, alongside Gin & Kaname, defected from the Soul Society - striking down Lisa, Love, Rose, Hachigen, Kensei, Mashiro, Hiyori, & his own captain, Shinji. However, Kisuke Urahara & Tessai showed up only to allow Aizen to escape and continue on plotting his ambition for power. Aizen soon became 5th division Captain and eventual Leader of the Espada. His goal was Kisuke's Hogyoku, which was implanted inside Rukia's Gigai body. From the get-go, Aizen was up to no good as he wanted to transcend the boundaries of God itself. His involvement with this led to the creation of the Visored, his allying with Hueco Mundo, & Isshin's fated meeting with Masaki. And to top it off, no one knew of Aizen's deception.

Role in Story ~ Yomi
Yomi, after losing his sight to an assassin that was hired by Yoko himself, spend a majority of his life trying that assassin and he was successful. Yomi then took it upon himself to hire Yoko's help in thwarting Raizen & Mukuro's power, but deep down the seeds of hatred between these two bloomed. Yomi blackmailed Kurama into doing his dirty work - bringing in 6 Demons up to S-Class level. With this, Yomi's empire seemed like it was ready to take control, but Yusuke's decision in wanting to set up a Demon Tournament to decide who'll be the King had his empire crumble. Yomi fought his way up to Yusuke's level and it ended in a draw, but Yomi managed to stay up because of his son's encouragement. In the end, his empire crumbled and he ventured forth with his son all about the Demon World - having newfound peace after his fight with Yusuke.

Role in Story ~ Aizen
Oh boy, where do I start with this one. Aizen has played a pivotal role throughout Bleach, serving as the main antagonist (excluding fillers) in every arc. From the get-go, he was up to no good -  betraying his captain, the Soul society, and overall pretty much wanting to transcend into a higher being. Aizen was the former 5th Division Captain and, alongside Gin & Kaname of the 3rd and 9th division, betrayed the Gotei 13 after retrieving the Hogyoku from within Rukia. However, in order to cover up his defection beforehand, he instigated his own death so as to put the blame on the Ryoka (Ichigo, Orihime, Uryu, Chad, & Ganju)~ which then caused an outbreak between the Gotei 13, Ichigo's team, & various Shinigami who were siding against the Soul Society. Later, they made a pact with the Arrancar and Aizen's army amassed in numbers - ready to challenge the Gotei 13 w/ his 10 Espada. Aizen and his Espada enter a war against the Espada and one by one, they fell. Aizen, however, used them simply as pawns as the Hogyoku was implanted within Aizen and his transition into higher power began. He easily defeats various Captains & Lieutenants of the Gotei 13, but his loss against Ichigo eventually landed him in prison. Despite his imprisonment, Aizen is a special war potential by Yhwach, the current antagonist of Bleach & the Father of the Quincy.

Powers/Abilities ~ Yomi
Being an S-Class demon, Yomi is incredibly strong and possesses a immeasurable amount of demon energy because of his status as one of the 3 Kings of Demon World. Yomi, despite his blindness, is on par with the other 2 Kings of the Demon World, Raizen & Mukuro. Yomi was able to stand on par with Yusuke, but favored that if he ever fought him again, he's probably lose. Yomi is incredibly gifted as being one of the strongest demons in the Demon World, being able to create a transparent absorption wall that is able to defend itself against various demon attacks, fire limitless energy blasts, and create a tornado energy blast from charging his fists w/his demon energy. Aside from that, Yomi is able to amplify his demon energy, which enhances his energy blasts and punches when he fought against his son, Shura, and Yusuke.

Powers/Abilities ~ Aizen
Aizen's primary ability lies in his Zanpaktou, Kyoka Suigetsu (Mirror Flower Water Moon), which was capable of complete hypnosis ~ distorting all senses to the point where it can change matter's shape, form, feel, and smell. However, after retrieving the Hogyoku, the implantation of the Hogyoku successfully (later backfired) in amplifying his form, power, speed, durability, spiritual power, regeneration, and Kido. Aizen is pretty much at God-like status and even before the Hogyoku implantation, he was a strong, old, and charismatic Shinigami Captain. He was able to stop Captain Komamura & Hitsugaya easily without having to resort to unsheathing his Zanpaktou, defeat Ichigo (in the very beginning) with just 1 finger, and thwart Grimmjow's advances just from his spiritual energy. His Kyoka Suigetsu clearly misled everyone & his Hogyoku Implantation amplified his power ten-fold ~ and he still is a threat to the Gotei 13 & the Wandenreich.

Fight Record ~ Yomi
Yomi has a even record. His record is as follows:

Yomi vs. Genwaku Kyoushu (Assassin) - Loss
Yomi vs. Raizen (Past) - Loss
Yomi vs. Shura (Son) - Win
Yomi vs. Yusuke - Win (Only because of Son's encouragement)

Fight Record ~ Aizen
Aizen has had a lot of fights. His record is as follows:

Aizen vs. Visored (Past) - Win
Aizen vs. Komamura - Win
Aizen vs. Hitsugaya - Win
Aizen vs. Renji  - Win
Aizen vs. Ichigo (Round 1) - Win
Aizen vs. Gotei 13 & Visored - Win
Aizen vs. Captain Yamamoto - Win
Aizen vs. Urahara, Yoruichi, & Isshin - Win
Aizen vs. Gin - Win
Aizen vs. Ichigo Kurosaki (FINAL ROUND) - Loss

Verdict
And the winner is...
As much as I think these 2 are incredibly strong, I think it was pretty obvious who would've won between these two men. Despite Aizen being over hyped and a cheap-ass villain, he offered more when it came to abilities, ambition, and being a bigger threat than Yomi. Yomi, despite being blind, is an incredibly powerful Demon, but it doesn't change this fact - if Aizen was able to manipulate Kaname into doing his bidding, what more can Aizen do to Yomi? That's the problem, Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu was able to mislead everyone and I mean - EVERYONE. Yomi is strong and all, but not on Aizen's level - not even remotely close. Even as a Captain, he was strong as f*ck and with the Hogyoku implantation, could Yomi possibly stand up against him let alone try and not have his 5 sense distorted? I don't think so personally and that is why Aizen, despite being cheap and f'ing strong, is the clear winner ~ his very transcending of power is a lot more noteworthy than Yomi. The only thing, however, I will say is that Yomi gradually stronger after his eyesight was loss and Aizen was pretty much strong from the get-go. This is a disadvantage for Yomi, but for Aizen - he has been evil and powerful even before reaching new heights in power. This goes to Aizen.

So who do you think won - Aizen from Bleach or Yomi from YYH? Again, Thanks again for following me on this crazy wild ride of BH posts. Sunday's (tomorrow's) will be the last BH post, completing BH Month entirely. Sorry I posted late, but remember - I am trying to encompass everything from both characters. RBT #15 - I'm gonna borrow ya

After Kenpachi defeats Nnoitra in a bloodbath of biblical proportions, Kenpachi demands that Orihime heal him so he can continue fighting. Just as Orihime was about to heal Kenpachi, Starrk, the 1st Espada, shows up, kidnaps her, and disappears. This not only showcases Starrk's power, but how incredibly proficient he is at Sonido just like any other Espada. This came to a shock when Ichigo & Kenpachi couldn't prevent Orihime's kidnapping. Starrk, despite being laidback & uninterested most of the time, is quite a scary fella.

Mukuro vs. Yoruichi Shihoin (The Catfight)

VS.

Sorry for the late release ladies & gentlemen, but here it is. The final 3 fights of BH starts with our Catfight: Mukuro from YYH & Yoruichi from Bleach. I find these two to be incredibly attractive, strong, and dare I say, BEEWBS. They aren't diabolical villains bent on bringing ruination or even the primary antagonists of their shows. Yoruichi is one of Ichigo's allies & Mukuro is one of the former Kings of the Demon World as well as Hiei's friend/possible love-interest. I'm interested to see how these two would fare in a fight and so that is why I matched up this anticipated BH post. I will be comparing the following: Backstory, Role in Story, Powers/Abilities, & Fight Record.

Backstory ~ Mukuro
Mukuro's upbringing is different in the Manga & Anime. In the Manga rendition, she is born into slavery, her insides surgically changed in order for her father to be able to "play" with her. She was abused and raped on her birthdays by her father and in her upbringing, she viewed the world coldly & with disgust. In the Anime rendition, she was abandoned on a cold, snowy day by a wealthy individual who was her "Father," but, just like the Manga rendition, was abused and raped by him. She did everything in her power to try and break the restraints, but it had remained with her, shackling her to the past (that is until Hiei cut it of for her). At the age of 7, she poured acid all over herself so that she would seem less attractive the very person who abused her. Her damaged limbs were eventually replaced with robotic components and she swore to seek power in order to forget her tormented upbringing. She hid herself so as to not conceal the identity of her being female and eventually came into power and on par with King Raizen.

Backstory ~ Yoruichi
Yoruichi was born as a princess of the Shihoin Noble family and is childhood friends with Kisuke Urahara & Tessai, where they played at the Sokyoku Hill Training Space (which was built by Kisuke Urahara). It would be later where took up the responsibility as Captain of the 2nd Division (Stealth Force) and took on her role as the 22nd Princess - becoming the first Princess of the Shihoin Household. When Kisuke was promoted to be 12th Division Captain & was solely responsible for the Visored's birth. Yoruichi alone was the one who helped aid Kisuke & Tessai from receiving punishment. Together, the three were banished to the Living world where they hid in secrecy as to escape persecution while trying to conceal the whereabouts of the Hogyoku. During her tenor as Captain of the 2nd division, she often joked about with a much younger and childish Byakuya Kuchiki, offering to play wit him for her amusement much to Byakuya's annoyance. From her tenor as Captain & Princess to present day, she has a playful, rebellious, & witty side to her.

Role in Story ~ Mukuro
Mukuro, in YYH, was responsible for retrieving Hiei to serve under her empire in attempts to thwart Raizen & Yomi's ambitions. She helped trained hiei to eventually reach S-class by giving him rigorous tests of endurance and patience. She & Hiei developed an affinity for another as they share a history of displeasure, loss, and humiliation during their upbringing. She, alongside Hiei, sided on Yusuke's proposed Demon Tournament for all out control of Demon World. In this, she fought against Hiei and won, garnering the respect of Hiei as well as her freedom from the shackles that bound her to the past. She goes on to face Natsume and winning narrowly, but eventually lost to Enki, who would then be the Ruler of Demon World. Mukuro remains alongside Hiei, patrolling Demon World's program to ensure that any humans who accidentally walk into this realm are sent back home unharmed. She lives with Hiei in her castle and is heavily hinted in wearing the Tear Stone Necklace that Yukina gave to Hiei.

Role in Story ~ Yoruichi
Yoruichi first appeared in her cat form to Kisuke Urahara. She assists Team Ichigo in rescuing Rukia, where she informs Ichigo's group on the dangers of the Gotei 13 as well as train them to the best of their abilities. She eventually reveals herself to Ichigo as to who he is and who Kisuke Urahara is and steps in, later, to save Ichigo from acting irrationally against Byakuya Kuchiki. She is seen later fighting against the new 2nd Division Captain and her former bodyguard, Sui-Feng Yoruichi won and showcased her usage and imperfect form of Shunko. Convincing Sui-Feng otherwise, the two 2nd Division Stealth Force Captains of the New & Old tried to thwart Aizen's defection plan only later to see that it was too late to save Aizen. Later on, Yoruichi & Kisuke aid in stopping Yammy's rampage and way later is seen alongside Kisuke & Isshin in stopping Aizen, only later to lose to him with Ichigo being the key to victory. During the Fullbringer Arc, Ichigo notices that part of Yoruichi's Reiatsu in imbedded within him in reassurance of Ichigo's retrieval of Shinigami powers.

Powers/Abilities ~ Mukuro
As seen in the picture, Mukuro, being an S-class dmon & one of the Three Kings of Demon World, is incredibly powerful. Despite her horrible upbringing, her powers are no laughing matter as it defies the very foundation of all demons - being able to slice through the 3rd dimension. This God-like ability allows for possibilities as it limits her opponents from coming into contact with the dimensional slashes as well as create a barrier for herself where her opponents can't touch her. Aside from this impressive ability, she is able to perform telekinesis and create deadly energy blasts at the palm of her hand. Going back to the picture, she effortlessly beats down Hiei despite his relentless training by her side. She was even able to completely destroy Hiei's Black Dragon technique. She truly is someone you don't want to F with.

Powers/Abilities ~ Yoruichi
Yoruichi, being the former 2nd Division Captain, is highly proficient in Shunpo, Infiltration, & Hand-to-Hand combat. In the earlier part of the series, she is also seen transforming from her cat-like form to her usual self. As a Shinigami, she is also capable of using Kido, but it's unaware of her Zanpaktou's abilities. Not much about her is clear, but we do know is that she is a master at Hand-to-Hand & Shunpo - two quality traits needed for the 2nd Division Captain. The source of her power comes from Shunko, exerting and amplifying everything - Hand-to-Hand Combating & Kido.

Fight Record ~ Mukuro
Mukuro has a even record. Her record is as follows:

Mukuro vs. Raizen (Past) - Loss
Mukuro vs. Hiei - Win
Mukuro vs. Natsume - Win
Mukuro vs. Enki - Loss

Fight Record ~ Yoruichi
Yoruichi has had a few fights. Her record is as follows (excluding fillers):

Yoruichi vs. Byakuya Kuchiki - Draw
Yoruichi vs. Sui-Feng - Win
Yoruichi w/Kisuke Urahara vs. Yammy - Win
Yoruichi w/Urahara & Isshin vs. Aizen - Loss

Verdict
And the winner is...
As much as I love Yoruichi and her impressive hand-to-hand and Shunpo abilities, I prefer Mukuro for one reason - Dimensional Cutting. I mean, we're talking about God-like-status abilities. I feel incredibly sympathetic towards her character because not only did she have a crappy upbringing, but she came to view the world as garbage. With Yoruichi, it seemed as if she was content with who she was and what would eventually be her role in Bleach. With Mukuro, she relentlessly pushed herself to the limits to escape her horrible past and it eventually brought her to be one the 3 reigning Kings (this case she's a Queen) of the Demon World. It was her meeting with Hiei that transpired her to view the world differently - that she wasn't alone and that she had someone who truly understood her. In Yoruichi's case, not much is known about her upbringing other than her bring childhood friends with Kisuke & Tessai - that's it. Mukuro offered more in story, abilities, relationship to Hiei, and her reasoning behind her appearance. The ultimate sacrifice was giving up her beautiful self in order to escape the pain from her abuse. At the cost, she became powerful, bloodthirsty, and wanted to rid the world of garbage like her abusers. In the end, her character was more tragic and her abilities surpass Yoruichi's any day, anytime, and anywhere.

WBCR - Imagination vs. Demon (Grade B-)

The ongoing fight between Imagination (Gremmy) and Brute Force (Kenpachi) continues, but the main question I think everybody is asking is - for how long? There's a point where a fight scene in a comic becomes tedious because it's short, uninteresting, and the pacing could be off. For me, I think this fight is going to go on for at least 2-5 chapter and, to be honest, I am mixed about this. We know of the enemy's power to turn his imagination into reality, but when you realize the opponent is just as strong - why go through the trouble of saying you can beat this demon without any hands? The Demon is a formidable foe and the power of Imagination can only go so far when fighting this demon. Even using fire and water won't stop the demon's wrath since, after all, a demon isn't to be trifled with. I think what we, the audience, want to see is a conclusion - an appropriate ending to Imagination at the hands of the Demon. However, the problem lies not only in how long the fight is, but the length the chapter too. This chapter offered very little, showcasing that this particular fight will go on for awhile. Yachiru isn't going to fight anytime soon, but Gremmy underestimates Kenpachi way way way too much. As I said above, water and fire won't do $h!t to a demon. I think this chapter showcases that Imagination will take a little more time to takedown this demon, but I don't think a Demon can perceive Imagination as a true threat to his power. And lastly, the Imagination's focus on the Demon allowed Yachiru's bones to not be cookies anymore. Overall, it was mediocre chapter - needed more and I want to see what Kenpachi learned. I give this week's a chapter a B-. As always, look forward to WBCR every Wednesday (unless specified) and you all stay classy now. BH post will be up later:

Affinity #31 - Tres & her Tres Bestias

By far one of my favorite female characters in all of Bleach is Tier Harribel, the ruler of Hueco Mundo & former 3rd Espada under Aizen's army. Since the invasion the Wandenreich, Hueco Mundo has been under Yhwach's control & the beautiful Harribel is captured whereas her Fraccion are defeated by Quilge "The Jail" Opie. The 3 are like sisters, always together and bickering. One is annoyed, one is a hothead, and the other is another hothead - the fun never stops with these 3. They are all loyal to Harribel and even though Aizen betrayed them, Harribel & her Fraccion still stand firmly in Hueco Mundo as its protectors, but a new threat has emerged and no other Arrancar is to be seen. I want to see an all-out war - Shinigami, Visored, Arrancar, & Fullbringers vs. the Wandenreich - it'll be legen-, wait for it, DARY! I really do love Harribel not only because of her calm and collected behavior (that and her BEEWBS), but I like her fraccion - bickering, but still loyal to her. arribel genuinely cares for them whereas other Espada use their Fraccion at their disposal. Harribel treats her Fraccion like her own daughters just as they see Harribel as a mother/sister figure. That is why the 3rd Espada and her Fraccion are awesome. I hope they're all still alive and the Arrancars will aid the Shinigami, putting aside past disputes to fight the one enemy standing before them - The Wandenreich.

So I hope you enjoyed today's Affinity. Tomorrow's WBCR & BH Post will be up between 10am-10pm. As always, you all stay classy now.

Yakumo vs. Baraggan Louisenbairn (The Kings of their Domain)

VS.

The two Kings of Hueco Mundo & the Nether-realm finally clash in Monday's BH post. In both respects, these two are powerful warriors - encompassing and embodying evil. I find it ironic that one was rebelled against (Sousuke Aizen) and the other rebelled (against Spirit World & loss). These two relics are the primary antagonists (one in the Fake Karakura Town Arc and the other in the YYH movie). Having enormous powers, followers by their side, and pose a threat to Yusuke/Sui-Feng, Baraggan & Yakumo truly are the Kings of their Domain. It's a classic fight of King vs. King - Baraggan Louisenbairn from Bleach and Yakumo from YYH Movie: Poltergeist Report. I will be comparing the following: Role in Story, Powers/Abilities, & Fight Record

Role in Story ~ Yakumo
Yakumo, a long time ago, rebelled against the Spirit World in control of Human World. However, despite being King of the Nether-Realm, he lost and was banished into the void of space. Later on, the Nether-Realm creates a unbalance between the Human & Spirit world, indicating that Yakumo & his forces are ready to start a full-scale war for complete control once more. Botan, the key to all of his, is the damsel in distress during the movie and the Yakumo's real intention is to gain back the Power Sphere, the source of Nether-Realm's power. Yakumo, having control of the sphere, battles against Team Urameshi only later to succumb to defeat as Team Urameshi bands together for 1 last attack. He never was truly killed, but the source of his power is forever gone.

Role in Story ~ Baraggan
Baraggan was once the King of Hueco Mundo up until he met Sousuke Aizen. Bored with the Kingly rule of doing absolutely nothing but entertaining himself, he finds amusement and absurdity in Aizen's plan. Aizen & his subordinates kill all of Baraggan's followers and take him to be the 2nd Espada under Aizen's tutelage. Baraggan was first seen when Ichigo, Uryu, & Chad first entered into Hueco Mundo, but truly makes his real appearance as one of the 3 Espada fighting against the Gotei 13 in the Fake Karakura Town Arc. His aspect of Death (as with every Espada) in Age/Time and he fights against Sui-Feng, Omaeda, & Hachigen only later to succumb to his own power. Before withering away, he tries one last attempt to kill Sousuke Aizen - the man who took away his power and ambitions.

Powers/Abilities ~ Yakumo
Yakumo is a powerful King as as such, as sovereignty over demons ~ being able to manipulate them to do his bidding and even summoning them as his own personal vanguard. He is also capable of telekinesis, moving various objects as either shields or weapons. His true power stems from the Power Sphere, amplifying his power as he was, at first, able to be a formidable foe against Team Urameshi. When fighting, he can create a shield to deflect/block attacks as well as fire energy palm blasts which inflicted damage on Yusuke.

Powers/Abilities ~ Baraggan
Baraggan, as the 2nd Espada, embodies the Aging aspect of Death. This means his power stems from aging (time) - being able to slow down Sui-Feng's attacks before reaching. Being King of Hueco Mundo & the 2nd Espada under Aizen's army, he possesses incredible spiritual power, keen intellect, dilate time around him, and, as an Arrancar, is proficient in Sonido. His Zanpaktou, Arrogante, allows Baraggan to take on the form of a skull-like figure w/a crown & purple cloak. His true power allows him to turn and rot anything with his Respira (Breath of Death) and wields Gran Caida (Axe of Ruin) ~ his primary weapon aside from his Respira.

Fight Record ~ Yakumo
Yakumo was the primary antagonist in the YYH Movie: Poltergeist Report and is strictly a movie-based character. His record is as follows:

Yakumo vs. Team Urameshi - Loss

Fight Record ~ Baraggan
Baraggan was a primary antagonist in the Fake Karakura Town Arc in Bleach alongside Starrk & Harribel. His record is as follows:

Baraggan Louisenbairn vs. Sui-Feng, Omaeda, & Hachigen - Loss

Verdict
And the winner is...
Despite Yakumo being a movie-based villain, he was weak in comparison to Baraggan. Baraggan's power as the 2nd Espada is renowned throughout all the Arrancars whereas Yakumo, from the get-go, lost despite being a King himself. Yakumo offered very little - manipulation, telekinesis, summoning, & energy palm. Baraggan, as King, controlled the aspect of time - completely having vast control of dilating time around him, rotting life just about anywhere, and wielding his Axe to cast judgment on those who oppress him. Baraggan had more of role whereas Yakumo, like I said, is strictly in the YYH movie. He lost at the hands of Team Urameshi quite easily in my opinion, but it took time to defeat Baraggan. And one of the deciding factors - Yakumo is alive and weak & Baraggan is dead, but tried to put up a fight against Aizen. Baraggan's death took me by surprise as he was killed by his own power and, to me, that is ironic since he too was afraid of aging. As a King, his power is without question fearsome, but it doesn't change the fact that Baraggan offered more as a likable, badass, and formidable villain. Baraggan is the true King of Kings.

Tsukihito Amanuma vs. Yukio Hans Vorarlberna (The Gaming Kids)

VS.

I believe at some point in our lives, we were all kids who loved video games and f'ing with people. It was in our nature and for the most part - it was really damn fun. Playing video games for constant hours without a care in the world and laughing at anything that we deem funny and immature. The slightest thing like farting can make kids giggle their a$$e$ off. In both Bleach & YYH, there are two characters that embody what I'd like to call - The Gaming Kids. Both kids w/a sense of imagination and trickery are the antagonists of the Chapter Black Saga & the Fullbringer Arc. Today's Matchup is between YYH's Tsukihito Amanuma & Bleach's Yukio Hans Vorarlberna. I will be comparing the following: Role in Story, Powers/Abilities, & Fight Record

Role in Story ~ Tsukihito
Tsukihito mainly played video games because he didn't have friends or was close to his parents. One day, he was challenged by Shinobu and it ended in a draw, the first time playing led to Tsukihito joining Shinobu's cause. It was Tsukihito's job to bring the game Goblin City back to life. Team Urameshi challenged Tsukihito and it finally came down to the final came, which would ultimately decide the fate of Tsukihito & Kurama. Tsukihito, from the get-go, was unaware that Shinobu was only using him. Not only what or who to believe anymore, Tsukihito loses the game and, unfortunately, dies. This not only upset Kurama, but it put a burden on him - the man who took the life of a child. However, it is revealed that he was resurrected as part of Shinobu's plan and he has a new life w/new friends.

Role in Story ~ Yukio
Yukio is the son of a businessman, but didn't much of his parents. He was shut off in a spacious room away from his parents because they rarely spoke as parents and child. Sometime later, Yukio stole from his father and ran away, only later to find out that the parents committed suicide. Later, he met the other members of Xcution and join in Ginjo's cause, playing along with Tsukishima's ability & Ginjo's plans. He helped trained Ichigo as he was new to his fullbringer abilities and would later eventually fight against him alongside his fellow Xcution members - Jackie, Riruka, & Giriko. Yukio trapped the Shinigami & the Xcution in his chatrooms and went up against Hitsugaya - only later to lose and be sparred. At the end, he is seen with Jackie, who survived at the cost of her fullbring powers being gone. He told Jackie to wait 3 years so he can raise his company and get the group together again.

Powers/Abilities ~ Tsukihito
Tsukihito's ability is referred to as Territory - meaning whatever happens to the characters in the game affects the one controlling that character. That means that if someone controlling a character in the game dies (EX: Getting killed in a Fighting or RPG game), then the player dies in real life. Not only is that ability scary as F*ck, but it allows Tsukihito to have complete control of the games being played and characters being used. In YYH, Tsukihito & Team Urameshi play arcade games to determine who'll win in the end - it's literally a eat or be eaten scenario.

Powers/Abilities ~ Yukio
Yukio's ability is known as Invaders Must Die, where he, & his handheld video game console, has the ability to transport individuals into his own dimension (sealing), cutting off their spiritual energy from the outside world (saving), create a virtual simulation (Internal Pocket Dimension), plant a tracking bug on anything, create holographic clones, & fast-world in the Internal Pocket Dimension. With Ichigo's power, his ability is referred to as Digital Radial Invaders, which allows Yukio to create digital clones, summon digital blades to attack, create a shield to protect from enemy attacks, chatrooms (battle arenas), fire digital missiles at his opponents, and summon digital monsters that are programmed in the game. He literally is in charge of a video game and it's his rules.

Fight Record ~ Tsukihito
Tsukihito only had 1 fight in YYH. His record is as follows:

Tsukihito vs. Kurama - Loss

Fight Record ~ Yukio
Yukio has had a couple of fights in Bleach. His record is as follows:

Yukio w/Riruka vs. Tsukishima - Draw
Yukio vs. Hitsugaya Toshiro - Loss

Verdict
And the winner is...
I think these two character's past were pretty tragic. One was unloved and the other didn't know of love. So which one did I give it to - the one who didn't know of love. Yukio unfortunately was selfish and is the reason why his parents committed suicide, but in the end- he cared more about power and wealth. Tsukihito, in the end, lived a new life playing video games and having friends, but with Yukio - you never knew if he had friends before meeting the members of Xcution. Much of his meeting with Ginjo isn't really emphasized, but we do know that his upbringing was a cold one - being shut in, not knowing of love, and eventually resorting to stealing and running off on his own. I felt more bad for Tsukihito when he died, but he was resurrected. With Yukio, little did change and to be honest, that's why he won. Yukio's history isn't much, but it shapes who he was - a power hungry child who thrived on wealth for happiness. It seemed like Tsukihito was content with video games and that's it, but I do feel bad he was unaware of being used by Shinobu. I felt more bad for Yukio because, in the end, he never did move on and what drives him isn't the friends he met or meeting Ichigo, it was thriving on his riches. Tsukihito changed, but Yukio has yet to. As I said, the more mysterious a character is - the more engaging and interesting he can be. That is why I gave this one to Yukio.

So who do you think won? Tsukihito from YYH or Yukio from Bleach? Comment below and let me know.
