BCC 2 Match #16 - Tifa Lockhart vs. Orihime Inoue (FF VII vs. Bleach) ~ FINAL BCC

VS.

WELCOME to the final installment of BCC 2 where MechG & I for 16 matches have pitted the worlds of Anime & Video-games together. It's unfortunate that BCC went by so quickly, but do not fret ~ BCC will return later on in 2015. Today's Matchup was anticipated, seeing as I, the author of the blog, am knowledgable in Bleach and MechG, as seen in the past, is knowledgable in Final Fantasy. So it's only fitting that the 16th and final BCC 2 Matchup will be the heroines from FF VII & Bleach. The scoring right now is 9-6 with the Video-game Babes winning against the Anime Cuties. Regardless of how the verdict goes, the clear victor for this one was the Video-game babes. The effort in designing, creating, illustrating, and modeling those gals is quite a feat, but it's also safe to say that Anime/Manga girls get praise as well for attention to detail (you know what I mean guys). Without further ado, let's end with a Bang and jam!

Story (Tifa)
Both Tifa and Cloud were raised in the same town of Nibelheim and both their families were next door neighbors. Unlike Cloud who preferred to be secluded from the rest of the kids, Tifa was more social and liked to make friends. When Tifa’s mom died, both her and Cloud started to become closer. While Tifa ventured to Mt. Nibel to “see” her mother, a bridge collapsed and Cloud rescued her from falling, but not enough that Tifa sustained some injuries and galvanized her dad to separate both her and Cloud from each other. However the two met on Nibelheim’s water tower and made promises to each other. Cloud would promise Tifa to join the ranks of SOLDIER to be Tifa’s protector. During the Nibelheim incident in Crisis Core, Sephiroth killed Tifa’s father and actually injured her. Tifa was taken to Midgar by her martial arts master for her wounds to be treated. She joins the rebellious group, AVALANCHE and becomes owner/bartender of the 7th Heaven bar. She acts as the motivator for the members and is also a caretaker of Marlene, the daughter of the AVALANCHE leader, Barret. By the time Cloud shows up to collect his paycheck, Tifa brings up the promise Cloud made to her when they were children, convincing him to stay a little longer. Later on in the game, Tifa becomes a temporary leader after Cloud’s disappearance and she helped Cloud regain his memories by entering his Subconscious state into the Lifestream, leading to the final battle and eventual defeat of Sephiroth.

Story (Orihime)
Orihime Inoue attends the same high school as the main hero, Ichigo Kurosaki. Her backstory isn't what you'd call the best since a majority of her upbringing was by her elder brother. Unfortunately the day Orihime & her brother got into fight was the same day Orihime was left alone ~ her parents were drunkards & her brother died. Fast forward later and she seems to be content with her life at school ~ being praised for her beauty, looked at weirdly for her cravings/drawings, and eventually finding herself a man (who has yet to see that he's a lucky son-of-a-bitch). She'll never forget what her brother had done for her, but she knows that in her heart that she'll have to be just as strong to endure the hardships & tribulations of whatever may come of her. She eventually developed powers of her own (thanks to part on Ichigo's influence) and her adventures with Team Kurosaki began upon the "abduction" of Rukia Kuchiki, a dear friend of Team Kurosaki that was solely responsible for having given Ichigo the powers of a Shinigami. However, Orihime's character was given more gravitas when she herself was abducted by Aizen & Team Kurosaki had to save her. Since then, Orihime has been a great asset to Team Kurosaki as they now fight against the Wandenreich.

Personality (Tifa)
*Please See Bleach Fantasy Round 5: Yoruichi vs. Tifa* Nah I’m kidding. Strong-willed personality, shy, cute, always positive, Tifa literally has all the goods. She’s tough as nails, ready to kick someone’s @$$ if needed, and she can hold major grudges to the most heinous and evil person out there (Hey Sephiroth, you reading this?). Aside from all that, Tifa shows she has an elegant side as well as I said before she’s emotionally shy when someone expresses their feelings and she has to respond to them, but she’s not emotionally shy when Cloud shows her the D if you know what I mean. She also has a leadership trait, taking over as the lead role character when Cloud is out and about, getting hungover on Mako poisoning in the Lifestream and is a key motivator and supporter for the members of AVALANCHE. Because when things go wrong and there’s not a single indicator of blue skies, Tifa remains cheerful and optimistic and tries to get others to cheer up and stay positive. What? My Raiders and Lakers both lost?  *sniffs* Tifa, I need you. ;(

Personality (Orihime)
Orihime is an independent, friendly, humorous (weird), sensitive, caring, & kind individual. However, there are times where she comes off as odd, weird, and naive. Is it shown that Orihime has great perceptive on people's mental & emotional states, always wanting to put them over herself. Her eagerness to help others is the gravitas of her character and she'll do anything to shoulder the burden of others over herself. She cares for the wellbeing of all her friends and isn't afraid to display her powers if it means doing harm to her own body. She's a team-player and her loyalty is unwavering when it comes to Team Kurosaki.

Appeal (Tifa)
Big BEEWBZ + Cute face + strong personality + sexy overall = Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I honestly can’t think of a hot female FF character other than Tifa. Rikku from FFX may come close though to matching her, but in all honesty, Tifa’s hotness and sex appeal throughout the FF franchise is unequaled. True that’s how we find her attractive in the first place, but she has other qualities: she’s tough, smart, positive, beautiful, what’s not to like about her? Not to mention, she headlines my favorite FFVII couple: Cloti (sorry Claeris fans, but if you like, more power to you). In terms of couples in the FF franchise, Lightis (Noctis X Lightning) is my favorite fan crossover couple, Cloti is my favorite main story arc couple. In my opinion, it just makes sense considering how they’re childhood friends and that she was the reason why Cloud was motivated to join SOLDIER, so he can impress her and be her protector. But too bad Cloud went on an acid trip from Mako poisoning and started mimicking Zack’s persona to get with Aeris early on in FFVII. Polar opposites just attract. Okay, I’m off topic here, but Tifa overall provides a rare combination of hot and beautiful, that’s a winning combination right there in terms of appeal.

Appeal (Orihime)

What can be said about Orihime Inoue? Long orange hair, Big-@$$ T!t$, & a smile ~ thumbs up for me. Ichigo is lucky that a woman of Orihime's Caliber has love for him ~ it's literally the damsel in distress falling for the knight in the shining armor. Orihime became one of the reasons why I love Bleach and I wanted to especially see Ichihime (still waiting Tite Kubo....still waiting) because, as you all know, Ichihime is my favorite Bleach couple of all time. Orihime is sweet, lovable, weird (at times), and genuinely is good-spirited. What else can be said ~ Orihime is lovely girl.

Verdict (By Stillmattic)
And the winner is...
As much as I love Orihime Inoue, her relevance in the story died down right after the Fake Karakura Town Arc. Orihime, as much as I hate to say this, isn't the female mascot for Bleach ~ Rukia is. Rukia is the sole reason why Bleach started. Another note to point out is that Ichihime has made nay progression at all in the Bleach storyline; it's a 50/50 gamble on whether or not Tite Kubo will bring it up again. With Tifa, she's the mascot for FF VII and has more relevance to the story than Orihime does in Bleach. Orihime may have god-like abilities, but she doesn't utilize them as much in the Manga/Anime. With Tifa, her role and closeness to the main character, Cloud, has more progression than Ichihime. Orihime Inoue is a strong asset in Team Kurosaki, but is quickly sidelined due to Uryu, Chad, & even Yoruichi. You can't say that with Tifa because, repeating myself from earlier, is the female mascot for FF VII. If you were to ask me who is the hotter chick, I'd personally choose Tifa. I mean look at her ~ she's one hot babe. Orihime is hot and whatnot, but Orihime isn't as shown as much in the Manga. To conclude BCC 2 Match #16 ~ this victory goes to the Videogame Babes.

So who do you think won the 16th and final BCC post ~ Tifa from FF VII or Orihime Inoue from Bleach? Comment below and let me know. BCC will be taking a hiatus til sometime next year. Another very good friend of mine will be collaborating with me on BCC 3 ~ Bleach vs. Fairy Tail. Videogame Babes win 10-6 against the Anime Cuties. Until then, you all stay classy now. Happy Holidays to everyone!

WBCR - The fate of the world lies in your hands (Grade: C)

Good Afternoon everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas! I do apologize that I haven't posted the WBCR anytime soon, but I was called into work and well, I gotta make the Benjamin. I also like to apologize for not posting the Throwback on Friday ~ I didn't have time to post it because of work & hangout with friends. However, it's still not the end of the week and I am here to give you my thoughts on the super brief Bleach chapter that pretty can be summed up in two sentences: Ichigo is the only one that can stop Yhwach. Yhwach managed to "kill" the Soul King. Yeah, that's the chapter in a nutshell. IF you want me to elaborate on what happened, it can also be summed up like this: Ichibei Hyosube & the rest of the Zero Division were defeated/killed by the Wandenreich, but Ichigo shows up, calls Ichibei's name, and he is sorta of revived (severely weak). Ichibei tells Ichigo only he can stop Yhwach, and Yhwach stabs the frozen Soul King. This, like most of the recent chapters, have been brief and took less than a minute to read. We all anticipated that it was Ichigo vs. Yhwach and although the defeat of the 0 division was foreshadowed already, I would've liked that that the fights could've been more entertaining. They were brief and always foreshadowed the cliches "Do not underestimate/overestimate me." If the Wandenreich were defeated AND they left Ichigo to fight the main boss, then that's fine. No, we had to see them get f*cked up and Ichigo show up just at the time they all got f*cked up. One question remains ~ Where's the other Wandenreich members? Do they not notice Ichigo's gang? There's just so many questions that need answering and I hope Kubo delivers. As far as I'm concerned, the Manga itself is dragging. My interest is kind of dwindling, but I'll try not to lose faith because, after all, Bleach hasn't ended yet. I'll give this week a C.

So what did you think of the chapter? Good? Bad? Somewhere in between? Comment below and let me know. Look forward to WBCR when chapter's available AND when I have the time to post it. Until then, you all stay classy now. Last BCC 2 Matchup will be tomorrow and decided by yours truly.

BCC 2 Match #15 - Chun-Li vs. Rukia Kuchiki (Street Fighter vs. Bleach)

VS.

Welcome back to another installment of BCC 2 with featured collaboration from my best friend & author of the Trueraiderlaker blog,  MechG. BCC 2 is pitting the best of the best when it comes to Videogames & Anime. The emphasis on BCC (Big-BEEWBED Catfight) is on the lovely ladies from each franchise, judging their story, personality, and appeal as the basis of the subject matter as well deciding on the consensus on whose the better woman in our personal opinion. The Videogame Babes are leading 8-6 against the Anime Cuties. MechG will be deciding the consensus for this Christmas week. Today's Matchup is Street Fighter's Chun-li & Bleach's Rukia Kuchiki. Let's jam! Final BCC Matchup will be on Monday and decided by yours truly.

Story (Chun-Li)
Chun-Li’s story begins as an Interpol Detective who was investigating the disappearance and murder of her father. Trying to trace the killer’s whereabouts, Chun-Li got into a friendly spar with her former master and a friend of her father’s, Gen. Gen just gives her clues about who may have killed her father, tracing to the crime syndicate, Shadaloo. She finds the leader, M. Bison and demands answers from him. Much to the delight of Bison, he manages Chun-Li with ease in combat and tells her that he was the one who killed him. This began a long quest for Chun-Li to try to put an end to Shadaloo’s crimes, bring M. Bison to justice, and avenge her father’s death. She teams up with U.S. Air Force members, Charlie and Guile to exploit the main stronghold of Shadaloo, which they did and blew up, but at the cost of Charlie’s sacrifice and “death.” Just when she thought Shadaloo fell, Chun-Li was invited to the 2nd World Warrior tournament by Bison. Surprisingly finding him alive, Chun-Li attended to put an end to him once and for all and make Shadaloo pay for their crimes. After Bison’s supposed demise of Akuma and the supposed demise of Shadaloo, Chun-Li enjoyed a brief retirement before coming back to the Interpol scene after Guile convinced her that Shadaloo is still at large with physical evidence. She teamed up with Guile and Cammy to investigate Shadaloo’s weapon’s division, S.I.N. and their headmaster, Seth. She encountered one of their agents, Juri Han and even though she defeated Juri, she couldn’t bring her into custody as S.I.N. and Shadaloo still remains at large.

Story (Rukia Kuchiki)

Before joining the Gotei 13, Rukia lived in the worst district in the Soul Society. It wasn't long before Byakuya Kuchiki, the current head of the Kuchiki family, adopted Rukia into the family, but in actuality- Rukia is related to Byakuya's wife, Hisana. Hisana was Rukia's sister and looked exactly like her, but Rukia didn't become aware of the truth until Byakuya met Ichigo. Rukia was abandoned by her sister and thus, Rukia saw Renji and his friends as her only family. Rukia now is the lieutenant of the 13th division and remains one of Ichigo's friends.

Personality (Chun-Li)
Being the first female in Street Fighter franchise, Chun-Li has a cheerful personality. Although that sounds too general, her personality starts to be get into specifics when Capcom actually started writing and extending Street Fighter’s storyline in the Alpha series and in SFIV. Being a detective of Interpol, she has a strong sense of…wait for it…JUSTICE!!!! She takes her work seriously, you know, serving the public trust, protecting the innocent, and upholding the law (yes, that’s a RoboCop reference). She can be competitive at times fighting against other worthy martial artists but at the end of the day, when the fight is over, she becomes friends with them (unless your names are: M. Bison, Balrog, Vega, Seth, Juri, etc., then she’ll kick the living cr@p out of you, like literally). Aside from her disciplined and courageous ways and her relentless determination to bring the most notorious criminals of Shadaloo to…wait for it…JUSTICE, Chun-Li still retains her gleeful and elegant personality even when everything is not all sunshine and blue skies.

Personality (Rukia Kuchiki)
Rukia is a determined Shinigami who upholds her duties without fail and was adopted into the Kuchiki clan, adopting a modest & graceful persona. Rukia is one of those people who cares for others and bottles up everything inside so as to avoid the suspicion that something may/may not be wrong with her. Rukia, since teaming up with Team Ichigo, has become a helpful aid in Bleach's many antagonists. Lastly, Rukia is obsessed with cute things as she won't do harm to cuteness.

Appeal (Chun-Li)
What’s not to say about the first lady in Street Fighter and in fighting games as a whole? You can’t resist a hot @$$-kicking babe that will keep kicking you till your balls drop. Aside from Cammy who followed suit three years after her creation, Chun-Li is the leader of a long list of hot Street Fighter babes. She has the pretty face, her BEEWBZ are pretty decent, more appealing when she’s
in a good mood, but so bad@$$ when in a fighting mood, but the one thing that separates Chun-Li from the other babes is her thighs and legs. Who wouldn’t want to have a piece of those long, muscular, and flexible legs and those sexy @$$ buttocks? Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that we all got turned on when we saw her naked in the shower during the Street Fighter II Animated Movie? But other than that, she along with Samus Aran from the Metroid series, are the reasons why we have an abundance of hot and sexy video game female characters now. You gotta appreciate that.

Appeal (Rukia Kuchiki)

Seeing Rukia for the first time, I thought she was cute. I'm a sucker for girls w/short-hair and Rukia is no exception. When she got her hair even shorter, I was in love. Something about that hairstyle of her + her personality & demeanor = ideal girl. To me, Rukia is one of the cutest girls in all of Bleach despite not possessing much package in other parts. She makes up for it by being a relevant figure in Ichigo's world as well as being responsible for the events transpiring Bleach's conception.

Verdict (By MechG)
And the winner is...
Well shiiiiieeetttt, a verdict where I can just chill and not be so hard on myself on who to choose to decide the winner. I mean these two lovely ladies are the mascots of their respective franchises. Chun-Li is to Street Fighter as Rukia is to Bleach and we all know the main protagonists whom they support are that damn popular because, well they are the damn protagonists (Ryu and Ichigo). Stillmattic always says without Rukia, there’d be no Bleach. Well, without Chun-Li, the most notable female fighters in the fighting game world would’ve never existed. Chun-Li took over what Samus Aran started back in the release of Metroid and that’s paving the way for other memorable playable female video game characters or female characters that play an intricate part in the video game story arc. I’ll give a benefit of a doubt that Rukia’s story is well fleshed out in Bleach. Her backstory is tragic and such and she’s thoroughly developed. I feel just because it’s Street Fighter, people just have to assume Chun-Li doesn’t do much because of the game’s lack of a straightforward plot line and she’s second fiddle to Ryu, but once the Alpha series and SFIV came out, something magical happened. Yeah we give Capcom so much s#!t for dragging the Shadaloo story arc too long, but for it to drag that long is also a testament because now there’s depth on what happened before SFII and what happened after SFII. Chun-Li may be second fiddle to Ryu and Ken, but she plays an intricate part in the long Shadaloo story arc. She ain’t no ordinary cop: she’s investigating sh*t, interrogating people, tracing whereabouts on Shadaloo’s next move with Cammy and Guile, the current rivalries with Crimson Viper and Juri Han, etc. There’s also a dual threat motive in Chun-Li’s pursuit of M. Bison and Shadaloo: the sense of bringing the most feared criminal/dictator to justice and holding a personal vendetta to avenge a loved one, her father. I mean, jeez 23 years since this story arc was somewhat created in SFII and still no closure on the rise and fall of M. Bison and Shadaloo. Capcom has been milking that sh*t for far too long. And besides, in terms of appeal and personality, Chun-Li has the total package: strong, courageous, beautiful, smart, positive, serious when on the job, Rukia also has those traits, but Chun-Li just balances them out more efficiently IMHO. Rukia just wishes she’s half the woman Chun-Li is (shots fired). No offense Bleach fans.

So who do you think won? Chun-Li from Street Fighter or Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach? Comment below and let me know. 1 more BCC 2 Matchups to go ~ The last on Monday. Until then, you all stay classy now. Videogame Babes are winning 9-6 against the Anime Cuties. Also be sure to check out MechG's blog: http://trueraiderlaker.blogspot.com/ that covers sports-themed topics on the LA Lakers & Oakland Raiders.
