Death God's Bebop (Track #11) - Never meant to belong
Remember this track? When tragedy strikes, this piece is likely to be played. Is it a happy-go-lucky song? No. Is it a song of nostalgia? Eh. Is it a song that speaks of sadness/tragedy? Absolutely 100% yes. During a tragedy, this song carefully conveys the feelings and emotions of what the character is conveying. For example, Ichigo losing to Renji + Byakuya & Rukia getting pissed at Ichigo for striking at her brother. See, there's tragedy right there because Ichigo failed to rescue Rukia & Ichigo ended up pissing off Rukia in the process. That's what makes this track so powerful - the atmosphere of the song + the scene just makes it all the more believable. Like a puzzle, it has to set right & has to fit the mood. This track + tragedy makes just about any scene in Bleach tragic, heartbreaking, & memorable. This is one of the most beautiful + grim songs I've ever heard. When a song + character + scene fit together, it's a puzzle worth seeing the whole picture.
I hope you enjoyed this week's Death God's Bebop. Until then, you all stay classy now!
