VS.
For the next couple of Bleach Hakusho posts, it will be matchup(s) between members of the 11th division from Bleach and Team Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho. The following matchup(s) will between both teams will be the following:
Karasu vs. Yumichika - Today
Bui vs. Ikkaku - Sunday
Elder Toguro vs. Yachiru - Monday
Younger Toguro vs. Kenpachi - Wednesday
NOTE: The Elder Toguro matchup has changed. He previously was going to fight an Espada, but since Yachiru showed off her Zanpaktou, I think it's appropriate to matchup the two closest to Toguro & Kenpachi.
Anyways, both Team Toguro & the 11th Division are renowned for there prowess in fighting. Both their leaders are formidable foes who've proven to be a tough opponent for our heroes (Ichigo/Yusuke). In the end, both have garnered respect from each other despite initially being enemies. Let us start off our Zaraki-Toguro Matchup(s) with Karasu from Team Toguro & Yumichika from the 11th division. I will be comparing the following: Role in Story, Powers/Abilities, & Fight Record
Role in Story (Karasu)
Karasu is part of the renowned Team Toguro, but deem down - he despises Toguro. He, alongside Bui, fought against the Toguro brothers, lost, and was spared in humiliation. In hopes to get stronger, Karasu & Bui joined Team Toguro's ranks in hopes to make up for their loss against the Toguro brothers - wanting to exact vengeance on the 2. During the Dark Tournament Saga, Team Toguro faced off against Team Gorenja and easily won, but it was the anticipated fight against Team Urameshi that led to Karasu's inevitable downfall and his inability to fulfill his wish in killing the Toguro Brothers.
Role in Story (Yumichika)
Yumichika, alongside the 11th division, were initially up against the Ryoka, but soon decided to help them as Ikkaku & Kenpachi have garnered much respect for the very man who defeated them - Ichigo Kurosaki. Sometime after Aizen's defection, he & Ikkaku joined Hitsugaya & Rangiku in their fight agains the Arrancar. Yumichika participated in the upcoming war between the Gotei 13 & Aizen's forces and managed to defeat one of Baraggan's Fraccion, Charlotte. Lastly, sometime after Aizen's imprisonment, he, alongside the entire Soul Society are at war against the Wandenreich.
Powers/Abilities (Karasu)
Karasu's abilities revolve around using his demon energy + bombs to create devastating effects on his opponents. Whether it's a grenade, flying creatures, or by touch - Karasu's bombs also inflict heavy damage on his opponents. Some of his mechanisms are pretty unique such as a bomb that completely latches on an opponent or summoning flying creatures that explode when near an opponent. However, his true power stems when he removes his mask, his hair changing from black to blonde. In this state, his demon energy is amplified and he pretty much is a human-time bomb. You can say he is a blast to be with. (Horrible Pun, I know haha).
Powers/Abilities (Yumichika)
Yumichika's abilities are pretty unique since, at the very beginning, he called his Zanpaktou by the nickname - Fuji Kujaku (really named Ruri'iro Kujaku). In Fuji Kujaku mode, his Zanpaktou pretty much looks like a pitch fork, but when he unleashes Ruri'iro Kujaku, he can steal his opponent's spirit energy and leave them depleted (much like how he did with Hisagi & Charlotte). In the 11th division, there is no such thing as Kido-based Zanpaktou, a Golden Rule followed by everyone except for Yumuchika. His abilities are so secretive that not even Ikkaku, his longtime friend, or his Captain are aware of his Zanpaktou's capabilities. You can say Yumichika sucks to be with (Another Horrible pun, I know haha).

Yumuchika w/Allies vs. Luppi - Loss
Yumichika vs. Charlotte - Win
Verdict
And the winner is...
Yumichika's abilities are unique because his company relishes in fighting, but are strictly against Kido. Yumichika, having a Kido-based Zanpaktou, is against the rules, but none know the wiser and is still loyal to the 11th division. The ability of his is quite terrifying - depleting of energy, feeling powerless, and knowing that he could just as easily kill you when you're at your lowest - Yumichika will always have the upper hand. With Karasu, I didn't get that from him. His abilities are unique, but didn't Wow me by any means. I knew Kurama could handle Karasu, but with opponent against Yumichika - it's just hit-n-miss. If Yumichika gets his hands on you, it's game over. Karasu is a interesting character, but in a fight against bombs and absorbing one's spirit energy - Yumichika is the victor.
