One of the most bad@SS and memorable scenes in all of Bleach is where our hero, Ichigo Kurosaki, stopped Rukia's execution at the hands of Kikoo. Rukia's stay in the Human World & her relinquishing of powers to Ichigo is considered a crime and the Gotei 13 sentenced her to the Sogyoku. However, not everyone was 100% okay with this, notably the 8th & 13th division Captains ~ Shunsui Kyoraku & Jushiro Ukitake. When Ichigo showed up ~ his resolve to save Rukia is so strong that Kikoo alone wasn't enough to nudge our hero. Kikoo is a representation of all Zanpaktou and Ichigo stopping it alone with his only 1 is a notable feat to the Gotei 13. Rukia dismissed Ichigo's efforts to save her, but deep down ~ nothing she'll say will ever convince Ichigo otherwise. In the end, Rukia was saved, but everyone came after him. Rukia worried for Ichigo's life, but his maturity & growth only made him a better & stronger person who isn't afraid of the trials and tribulations that lay before him. Ichigo was able to stop 3 Lieutenants barehanded until his one-on-one duel with Byakuya Kuchiki. Ichigo's role in saving the damsel is also seen when saving Orihime when she was kidnapped by Aizen. What I'm trying to say is, Ichigo saves damsels like any good hero.
