SGABR #6 (Bleach vs. Fairy Tail) - Sherry Blendy vs. Nemu Kurotsuchi

Welcome back to another installment of SGABR (Sexy Girls of Anime Battle Royale) where MIKandIK3 and myself, Stillmattic, pit the girls of Bleach & Fairy Tail together and give our thoughts on which of these lovely ladies has a more intriguing storyline, interesting personality, and overall attraction/appeal as a woman. I do apologize that I was unable to post on Friday, have been on a very tight schedule since the new quarter started. If the SGABR posts are delayed, it'll be posted during the weekend. So far in the last 5 weeks, Fairy Tail leads 4-1 against Bleach w/MIKandIK3 & I interchanging in giving verdicts. We are on Week 6 (04/10) of SGABR (Bleach vs. Fairy Tail Edition). Can Bleach make a possible comeback against the many women of Fairy Tail or will Fairy Tail keep the lead? Who knows? Only MIKandIK3 & I know. For today's post, we are pitting Fairy Tail's Sherry Blendy and Bleach's Nemu Kurotsuchi. The verdict will be decided by yours truly. And here's MIKandIK3 with a few starting words.

Hello ALL!! Wow week six already?! We're already half way done, ah time goes by so fast…. Any who, let’s get on to the real stars and this week’s line contestants! A quick reminder, with Bleach’s first win last week the score is now 4-1 with Fairy Tail still in the lead. For this week we’re pitting Sherry from Fairy Tail against Nemu from Bleach. Will Nemu be able to continue the Bleach drive? Or will Sherry re-lite the Fairy Tail fire? StillMattic is the verdict giver this round, as always we judge of characters importance to the story, personality, and (the best part) attraction/appearance. Alright enough talk, let’s get this show on the road!

Story (Sherry)

While we don’t know much, Sherry has shared the pain of the loss of her family that of which most Fairy Tail characters have. Though her loss, like that of Gary and few others, was by the hand of the demon Deliora. Later she met Lyon, who obsessed with passing his dead master Ur, told Sherry that he could get revenge for them and kill the demon. They spent three years caring out their plan on Galuna Island, and over time grew a crush on Lyon. Though the plan was interrupted by the Fairy Tail team of Erza, Lucy, Natsu, Happy and Gray. Sherry fights and losses her one on one match with Lucy. After the defeat of Lyon and Deliora, Sherry, Lyon and the rest of the mages that came to Lyon’s call left the island and joined the Lamia Scale guild. We meet her, Lyon and one of the Wizard Saints Jura during the guild alliance to fight Oración Seis, a dark guild. While she still appears to hold her crush on Lyon, during their battle with Racer Lyon sacrifices himself to prevent her or Gray form Racer’s suicide lacrama bomb vest. The loss of her beloved and the magical effects form Nirvana cause Sherry to hold darkness in her heart and attack Gray blaming him for Lyons “death”. Only to find Lyon, and Racer, alive and kicking. She is out of the fight after that, but comes back with the rest of the Blue Pegasus team holding their magic air bomber together by a thread. Its at this point the she and Ren have their touching moment. After Oración Seis defeat we don’t see Sherry till the Grand Magic games, in which she isn’t even in, however her younger cousin is. Her only relevance in this part is she announces she is in a romantic relationship with Ren then its Say La Vi Sherry.

Story (Nemu)

Nemu is Mayuri Kurotsuchi's daughter that is considered an artificial soul. She was first introduced during the Rescue Arc when Team Ichigo was trying to rescue Rukia from certain death. They were labeled as Ryoka and it was up to the Gotei 13 to deal with this invasion. Uryu, Ichigo's rival & best friend, did battle against 12th Division Captain, Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Their, Uryu met the silent, shy, and withdrawn Nemu Kurotsuchi. Of course Uryu is pissed that Mayuri would treat Nemu so cruelly because, well, for f*ck's sakes ~ Nemu is Mayuri's daughter & lieutenant. Nemu is often mistreated, but is still loyal to Mayuri and is willing to die for him if need be. When Uryu was injected with a poison, Nemu would later give him the anecdote because Nemu sees the good in Uryu despite having attacked her Captain/Father. Nemu's role in the story is very minimal. The next we see of her is beside Mayuri against the 8th Espada, Szayelaporro Granz. She's pretty much used as a shield while Mayuri plots a way to deal with the Espada (even though he already knew how he was going to do it. For the duration of the story afterwards, Nemu is simply assisting Mayuri once more against the Wandenreich with his experiments & contraptions. 

Personality (Sherry)

Sherry can be very dramatic, and when I mean dramatic I mean over dramatic. She will always make overly-dramatic statements about how everything is for "love". She loved Lyon Vastia, and has had a relationship with him similar to that of Gray and Juvia. She also hated Lucy because she believed that Lucy was her "love rival"; however, she cried when she thought that Lucy died. During the time-skip, she fell in love with Ren Akatsuki, and is currently in a relationship with him. So one could ask, What does love mean to this chick?

Personality (Nemu)

As I said above, Nemu is continuously being abused by her Captain/Father that Nemu is often withdrawn, silent, emotionless, and introverted. However, when Uryu spared Mayuri, Nemu was the one responsible for giving Uryu the cure to the poison he was injected with ~ this is the only time we see that she shows compassion whenever her Captain's involved.. She's very loyal to Mayuri despite the mistreatment. Aside from that, her character is firmly rooted in being Mayuri's lieutenant/bitch. 

Attraction/Appeal (Sherry)

Of course with all the talk of love one would keep themselves at the peak of attractiveness with her blue eyes, pink hair, large breasts, and a curvaceous body. When we first meet Sherry her look is more gothic and childlike in my opinion. She seems to mature in her next appearance with her hair down and a light pink and black dress. Can’t help but wonder what it be like to experience her “love” XD. Well the only one I guess can vouch for that is Ren.

Attraction/Appeal (Nemu)

Despite being a very minor character, she has a huge set of assets. Their was a time where she literally squeezed Uryu with her knockers and Uryu, cannot resisting this temptation, blushes and turns completely red. Uryu was literally out of breath when Nemu's BEEWBIEZ were squeezing the life out of his face. If I were in Uryu's situation, I'd probably say "DAYUM" and attempt to try and gasp for air. Despite her emotionless face and withdrawn personality, you can't hide any assets girl! 

Verdict (By Stillmattic)

And the winner is…

This verdict came down, to me, on one word: relevance. Sure, these two are minor in their respective series, but let's not forget ~ if they played a role in the story regardless if it's minor or major, they still have relevance. Personalities aside, they are polar opposites. One is overly dramatic & the other is an introvert. I gave this victory to Sherry on the grounds that she's had more screen-time than Nemu. Sherry, as explicated by MIKandIK3, has experienced loss and has played more of a role when it came to fighting against Fairy Tail (notably Lucy). With Nemu, she's more of an assist than a fighter. She's constantly abused/mistreated, but that doesn't stop her from being firmly loyal to him. Sherry is more of an interesting character than Nemu because of her relevance in Fairy Tail than Nemu is in Bleach. We see more of Sherry and how her definition of 'Love' defines her wheras with Nemu, we don't really see anything. With Bleach characters, most of the Lieutenants have a minor role, but they continue to progress the story. With Nemu, I think she's the only lieutenant that doesn't offer much. To reiterate: Nemu is the least fleshed out character in Bleach. With Sherry, I think she's more fleshed out because they gave her a personality, a fight, and I think she's cuter than Nemu. Sorry I didn't really elaborate as much as I would like to because there's not much to say other than ~ Sherry's the winner.
