BOOM, I called it. Ladies & gentlemen, am I right or AMIRITE? Sooner or later, it was bound to happen and wouldn't you know it, it just so happens it occurred in this week's chapter. It was predictable, foreseeable, and very likely, but who knew it was going to happen soon. If you haven't guessed by now, members of the Sternritter have defected and want to aid the Shinigami in taking down Yhwach. Of course we have to sit through Aizen's 'smooth' talk about being so overly powerful while being bound to a chair, but it wouldn't be long before NaNaNa shows up out of the blue to progress the story a little bit. Given the title "U - The Underbelly," NaNaNa explicated that he can measure/analyze reiatsu of anyone and pretty much find openings within reiatsu. However, before he can even demonstrate this, he is shot through the chest by Bazz-B, accompanied with Liltotto & Giselle. They decided to defect because they believe they have been forsaken by Yhwach & that they'd be in just as much sh*t like the Soul Society. In return, they wanted to go to the Royal Palace so they could settle things once and for all against Yhwach. Personally, I've wanted to see a defection within the enemy forces, but something could always be amiss. What if they intentionally wanted to give their powers to Yhwach to strengthen him? What if Bazz-B is using this as a ploy to attack the Shinigami while their guards down. So what if there are casualties - it's war, it's no walk in the park. However, Bazz-B shooting down NaNaNa was a bold move as NaNaNa seemed unaware that Bazz-B was going to fire at him. And that concludes the chapter. Personally, I am both skeptical and excited of this development. I'm going to give this week's chapter a solid: B.
So what did you think of this week's chapter? Good? Bad? Somewhere in the middle? Comment below and let me know. As always, look forward to WBCR whenever chapter's available (earliest I'll post is day of, Thursday and latest, is Saturday). Until then, you all stay classy now. Legacy post is posted below.
