It's been awhile since I've found myself some free time to invest into new Anime. Their was a one year hiatus for me, but starting this week, I finally got my groove back and managed to 3 series in 3 days. One of these series was D-Frag and I honestly have to say, it's the funniest Anime I've seen in a long time. Don't get me wrong ~ there are plenty of funny @SS Anime I've seen such as Haganai & Is This a Zombie, but their were certain moments where it had me laughing. With D-Frag, it was consistently punchline after punchline of shenanigans & hijinks. There wasn't a moment where I didn't laugh or smile because the show, to me, was just so freaking hilarious at what it's doing ~ entertaining the audience with it's randomness, absurdity, and obnoxiousness. So what's the story you may ask? Well, it's about a delinquent (if you can call him that) who is forced to join a club titled as the Game Creation Club. What is the Game Creation Club? Well, it's a club supposedly meant to create games, but rather than focus on that ~ we see a character whose sanity is put to test from his club members whom all are unusual to say the least. They literally attack him just so they can force him to enlist into their club. Tasers, Water Bottles, Dirt, & a Bag apparently are weaknesses when it comes to delinquents as the main character struggles to cope with the unfortunate reality that he's in a club with a bunch of color and unique characters. Now I kind of thought it was going to be a Harem considering the main character is surrounded with females, but looks are to be deceiving. This is 100% a comedy and without a doubt, there were many MANY times where I couldn't stop laughing. Watching D-Frag has opened my eyes to the possibilities of their being favorable comedic Anime. Sure, I've watched my fair share of Action/Adventure, Science Fiction, & Harem ~ but comedies are a rarity when it comes to me watching Anime. I don't want to give anything away, but to me, I loved every moment of D-Frag and I just wished their were a second season. Watching a 12 episode Anime series that premiered last year, guess I was a little late in getting started. D-Frag is definitely on my Top 10 Favorite Comedy Anime (I'll make a top 10 list of it eventually).
I hope you enjoyed this week's Legacy post. Look forward to Legacy post on Thursdays. Until then, you all stay classy.
