In the 63rd episode of Bleach, Renji and Byakuya have a captain + lieutenant moment until.....Ichigo interrupts. Renji was just about to say something memorable to his captain, but loss his train of thought once Ichigo came bursting out of nowhere. Renji was ticked, but Ichigo didn't know. This is one of those rare occurrences where the comedy in Bleach is a LMFAO moment. Renji respects and dislikes his Captain, but what he was gonna say could've had an impact on Byakuya, but nope - Ichigo came from nowhere to inform them of Rukia's disappearance again. Renji is a funny funny guy when he needs to be, but in this case - I found him hilarious because of the face he makes, the way he is so ticked off despite Ichigo being unaware of what he was about to say, and Ichigo's trolling overall ruined Renji's possible chances to be a badass to Byakuya. The moment in this was ruined and it became a comedy mark in Bleach. This happens in both the manga and anime. It's a very funny scene and to be fair, it showcases Renji & Ichigo's growing friendship and Byakuya's acceptance of Ichigo's shenanigans. This scene showcases Renji's ability to be mature towards his Captain and Ichigo's trolling just adds to the comedy - it's unexpected, it's so Ichigo, and it has an impact on the other characters. I like this episode because even after Aizen's defection, the Soul Society has come to accept Ichigo & his friends - there can still be laughs and smiles found after the turmoil.
