WBCR - It's not over (Grade B-)

This week's chapter of Bleach continues off from our previous encounters: Hitsugaya + Rangiku vs Buzz-B & BG9 vs. Omaeda. First off, I knew there was something off with the fight if it was going to leave it at that, but thankfully there is more mayhem to be made by these Stern Ritter. However I will say that the early celebration of Buzz-B's "defeat" is what you'd call - blind luck. They managed to do a little on him, but not enough to stop him. This makes me believes the 10th division is stupid or arrogant enough to believe that teamwork alone can stop just about anyone, but as shown in this chapter - things aren't as they seem to be. Though there's teamwork, there is much more fighting to be done if it is to be a solid victory. So the bantering of winning beforehand and having the upperhand is complete disregard and incompetence on the Shinigami's part. Without knowing the enemy, you can honesty's say the fights from now will be easy. C'mon Shinigami, you must know that when you faced the Arrancars. They have to be smart enough to know a combined effort isn't enough to bring down the enemy's spirit - it's a bloodbath that has yet to reach its climax. As for the other fight, Omaeda is showing genuine concern for his sister's impalement by the Stern Ritter. Angered by this, Omaeda is pissed, speechless, and going on about kicking the enemy's ass. However, Sui-Feng once again comes to save the day with her rendition of Shunkou. I am not going to go in length on what it is, but pretty much it makes just about anyone super strong (like Super Saiyan) and Sui-Feng wiped the floor with the BG9...or so we though. Both Stern Ritters are alive and well which proves my previous point - it's going to be bloodbath and it'll take some time before one falls. So the Sui-Feng rescuing the speechless Omaeda goes without saying, but I will give props for him trying. His sister's condition, however, is probably that she's bound to die or incredibly damaged - the thing that can boost Omaeda's power and anger is the damage that could be done to his family & friends.

Verdict: I am not gonna lie - I excepted a bit more. The supposed victory was cliche and we all knew it wasn't over (If it did, then that was a pretty short fight). I do like Omaeda's serious face over his concern and worrying for Mareyo's safety, but his refusal to comply only shows his tough exterior and loyalty to keeping his mouth shut about his captain's wherabouts - it's merely a poker face used as a distraction for his captain to once again save Omaeda. Omaeda, in this chapter, isn't stupid or funny - he's bent on killing this Stern Ritter, but we all knew in our heads - Sui-Feng to the rescue. As for the other fight, I was expected more elaboration on that rather than assuming he's defeated and the battles will be easy. Don't assume jackasses, know full well that your enemy is just as powerful as you guys. So I'm giving this week a B-, an okay chapter that was a pretty short read, but nonetheless, it continues off from last week's (as it should). Although I ranted on this chapter, it's more set-up. I don't hate this week's chapter, I was just expecting more is all. Until then, you all stay classy now!
