One of the most dynamic affinities in Bleach (in my opinion), was between Captain Sajin Komamura & former Captain turned Hollow ~ Kaname Tosen. Despite one having no sight and the other masking himself out of fear, the two got along and were faithful to the principle of Justice. They firmly stood by this belief & pursued forth in their training until eventually becoming Captain-class Shinigami. However, what Komamura couldn't account for was his dear friend's defection alongside former Captains Aizen & Gin. Betrayed by his friend's unwavering loyalty and pursuit of justice being tainted by Aizen, Komamura pursues Tosen and wishes for him to come back to reality. However, Tosen firmly believes that following Aizen is the pathway to less bloodshed and IS the personification of Justice. Despite mixed feelings over his dear friend Komamura genuinely cares for Tosen and wants him to see that him following Aizen will not resolve anything. In the end, Komamura has to fight his old friend and it wouldn't be long before Tosen met his end by his former lieutenant, Shuhei Hisagi. At the very end, Tosen finally sees what both his dear friend & lieutenant look like ~ only later to die. That last moment between the two was touching and bittersweet ~ a friendship that could've been, but tainted by Aizen. This is why Komamura bears a strong hatred towards Aizen ~ someone whom he has respect for and was introduced by Tosen now has turned evil. Despite initially being enemies after Tosen's defection, Komamura firmly held onto the belief that Tosen is his friend and that the one to blame for all of this is Aizen Sousuke. A strong friendship that shows a bond is strong despite it being pulled.
