Vs.
This battle is going to be a little different. For starters, one's based off an Anime & the other is based off a video game that is based on Chinese history. So I'm going to eliminate the factor of Kenpachi's eyepatch and just go off his swordsmanship abilities. For one, I've been wanting to do this matchup for quite some time, but didn't know how to present it without sounding cheesy, unconvincing, and overall random. I wanted to give you my in-depth opinion on these two warriors - lovers of the fight, anxious for the moment, and determined to see the end. After all, both these powerful men have rivals, are unmatched in skill & ability, and, to be fair, aren't the nicest guys you'll meet. In fact, it's cautious to approach these two unless you're looking to get a beating or are killed - it's your death wish. These two powerful, strong, and lustful for battle warriors will do whatever it takes to fight the best and, if possible, lose to the best. They after all live to see the fights - the adrenaline behind their blades just showcases their strength, training, and overall persona as a warrior, fighter, and soldier. So let's start off this shindig
Backstory: Lu Bu is the mightiest warrior under Dong Zhuo's army and is his son of some sorts. However, Lu Bu detests Dong Zhuo's rule and would later slay him. Alongside Diao Chan, Lu Bu, at Hu La Gate, faces off against Yuan Shao's coalition army. With Wu, Shu, & Wei allying with the coalition, Lu Bu found himself in a pickle - but for Lu Bu, it was what he was waiting for and his name became a reminder to never approach him. Upon Cao Cao's escape from Dong Zhuo's clutches, Lu Bu pursued them and lost. Rather than letting the mighty warrior ally with him, Cao Cao insisted that this man, this demon be executed. As such, Lu Bu, the once mighty warrior of the land & feared for his name & weapon was executed. (This is what I know from the games, not history)
Kenpachi Zaraki is a lustful warrior who, for the most part, has wanted to challenge the best. Even at a young age, he was able to best the first Kenpachi, said to be the most dangerous criminal of all the Soul Society. He never duel wields or used two hands to wield his sword - he is simply a one-armed swinging demon. Upon becoming the 11th Division captain for killing the previous Kenpachi, Zaraki took the title 'Kenpachi' and learned the ways of the sword thanks to Captain Yamamoto's teachings. Even though he's had his fair share of losses - Kenpachi comes back stronger than ever, smiling, laughing, and wanting to best his opponents until the time has come. Even at the brink of death, Kenpachi's swordsmanship skills + his willingness to win make him all the more dangerous to approach.
Fighting Skills: Lu Bu wields a halberd and as such, he is able to best opponents Guan Yu, Zhang Gei, & Liu Bei all at the same time. His willingness to fight the best showcases his mastery of his halberd. His name feared throughout the land, no one in the right mind dares to challenge Lu Bu and his famous Halberd.
Kenpachi wields a Zanpaktou that he took from someone he killed in the past. Though one-handed, Kenpachi swings most of the time land hits on his opponents - making it hard to defend. Like Lu Bu, his name is feared throughout Seireitei and many refrain from messing with him. However, he has learned to use two-hands (1 time).
Verdict: I know this is short and could've gone on and on. I know I said In-depth, but when you look at it - comparing the fighting & backstory sums up who'll win in the end. In Dynasty Warriors, Lu Bu is strong to fight and at times, could easily drain your life bar with just a few hits. In Bleach, Kenpachi endured much more and as such, it's more relatable + he keeps standing back up to for more. So even though this wasn't the biggest challenge to date, I am going to give this victory to Kenpachi strictly because he can endure more than Lu Bu, who is strong in own right, but nowhere as strong as Kenpachi - willing to stand back up after near-death experiences. This win goes to Zaraki
So who do you think would've won in this fight (No spiritual energy, just swordsmanship skills & endurance)? Let me knows your thoughts and until then, you all stay classy now!
